Clearly, More Of A Threat Than Usman Khan...

...but to just whom, I'll leave to you, Reader.
Police found a hoard of Nazi-era daggers, far-right literature and a framed Ku Klux Klan certificate in Nicholas Brock's bedroom in Berkshire.

Are those illegal to possess, then?

The 53-year-old was found guilty in March of three counts of possessing materials which could be of use in preparing terrorist acts.

Compare and contrast the response to this 'potential terrorist' with that to Usman Khan, the actual London Bridge terrorist...

Edward Butler, defending, said there was no evidence his client intended to carry out an attack.

That doesn't seem to matter much, since even when there is, usually the authorities do nothing.

Det Ch Supt Kath Barnes, head of Counter Terrorism Policing South East, said: "The material Brock had in his possession is dangerous and concerning.
"He had books which would provide techniques on how to fight, assisting someone who was potentially preparing a terrorist act."

Anyone with a Tom Clancy or Andy McNab novel on the shelf has 'books that would provide techniques on how to fight', don't they?

  1. Far right literature?
That would be Kipling, Brothers Grimm, and Beatix Potter. Probably a copy of Aesop's Fables as well.
When exactly was the National Socialist era? About the same time as the Stalinist era?
And how to kill people? Create a pandemic panic and refuse normal medical support. At least you can not blame the hospitals for giving people fatal infections then.

  2. The police and media are obsessed with finding so called far-right terrorists to counteract the millions of muslims that would blow up our cities .

  3. Should have gone to the "religion of peace".

  4. In my home library I have books on Nazism, books on Communism and books by people who identify as transsexual. Possession of such books does not automatically mean I will be goose stepping down the road, singing the praises of Comrade Stalin whilst wearing a dress.

Without a doubt this Brock character is a bit of a nutter and not the sort of person I'd be inviting around for Shabbat Dinner, but as there is nothing I can see that would link this man to actual terrorism either planned or realised, I'm perplexed as to why this nutter got such a lengthy sentence. It's especially perplexing that, as Crimebodge said, the same judge was handing out relatively lenient sentences to actual Islamist headcases.

  5. They are determined to push the narrative that "far right" terrorism is equivalent to Islamic terrorism. A bit like the non event on January 6th became an insurrection, whereas Minneapolis and Portland burning, looting and murder was just peaceful protesting. They aren't even trying to hide their gaslighting now.

  6. More police virtue signaling rather than tackling actual crime. I guess this man has a few quid in savings or assets that can be seized, making this more profitable than the unpleasant business of catching real criminals.

    Spot on!

"The police and media are obsessed with finding so called far-right terrorists to counteract the millions of muslims..."

Yes, as Longrider points out, it's become obvious to anyone with eyes to see.

I have a lot of serial killers and true crime books, but there's no suspicious;y dug areas under my patio.

    Yet.

"They aren't even trying to hide their gaslighting now."

No, because they face no consequences for it. Time they did!

"More police virtue signaling rather than tackling actual crime. "

    Indeed.
