A school that served a tiny piece of turkey and stuffing in a bap with a single pig in blanket and mini roll for their £3.50 Christmas lunch has apologised after parents complained it was like 'something from Oliver Twist'.Oh, come on, surely it's not that bad..?
Can they blame the crisis du jour? Reader, you bet!
The school has now apologised and offered a refund to students, blaming supply chain issues and Covid-related staff shortages as pupils called the offering 'rubbish' and 'gross, cold and soggy'.
Bingo!
Where are the fruit and veg 'they' insist are essential? A packed luch seems better than that on any groounds
ReplyDeletePiracy and a touch of 'slither' me timbers.
ReplyDeleteIf it really was down to covid and supply chain issues, they wouldn't have served it. They would have refunded the money, stated the reason and apologised, as sometimes shit happens.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that they went ahead and served it shows they thought it was totally acceptable to do so
I wonder what the school staff had for their early Christmas lunch? That surplus cash had to be spent on something.
ReplyDeletePenseivat
Wot - no butter?
ReplyDeleteThey 'ad a plate an' a cracker, din they?
School dinners in the 1950s and 60s were completely disgusting and vomit inducing - I might be able to choke this down.
ReplyDeleteEvery day, in every way the powders (literally) that be are taking the p*ss. The sooner that more people get wise and get angry the better.
ReplyDeleteFrom The Fail: 'Grammar school apologises for serving ... tiny slither of turkey ...'
ReplyDeleteAt least they're consistent in their ineptitude, I suppose.
Looks like Covid and Climate Change are now neck and neck.
ReplyDelete"Where are the fruit and veg 'they' insist are essential? "
ReplyDeleteWell spotted!
"If it really was down to covid and supply chain issues, they wouldn't have served it. They would have refunded the money, stated the reason and apologised, as sometimes shit happens."
Exactly! They got caught, and are desperately trying to wriggle out from under!
"I wonder what the school staff had for their early Christmas lunch?"
I bet it wasn't that!
"Wot - no butter?"
It's unhealthy, don't you know!
"School dinners in the 1950s and 60s were completely disgusting and vomit inducing..."
They weren't too bad in the 70s, but since I lived near both my schools, I mostly went home.
"The sooner that more people get wise and get angry the better."
In some other countries this would cause riots at the school gate!
"At least they're consistent in their ineptitude, I suppose."
Heh! I missed that first time around!
"Looks like Covid and Climate Change are now neck and neck."
I'll bet Climate Change wins in the photo finish.
