Dog Attacks On Children....

...are like buses, they come along in groups, and regularly:
The dogs involved have been 'secured' by police and removed from the house.

They should have been despatched then and there, and removed in bin bags.

They are not believed to be breeds banned under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, according to police.

So as far as the police are concerned, they aren't 'dangerous' (the 'Sun' claims they are rottweilers). But a toddler's still in critical condition...

West Mercia Chief Inspector Fergus Green, said 'This is an incredibly sad incident and our thoughts are with the young child and his family.'

My thoughts are with the paramedics who have to deal with the next family whose ill-bred mutts are eyeing up a tasty snack of human flesh right now...

Apologies. I have a "thing" about vocabulary and language.

  2. Why introduce a 'new' law that defines breeds as 'dangerous', when the original definition worked well enough? Just so the uniformed box-tickers have an excuse for doing SFA?

None of these 'pit-bull terrier' types have any role in modern society so should be put down forthwith (along with any other 'dangerous' dogs.

Bring back a licensing scheme (with training for owners as well as dogs) with regular checks. The cost would be as nothing compared to what people pay for the animals (plus the consequential costs of any attacks). Yes, just like that for driving - I see very few dogs on leads trained and under proper control these days.

And as for importing feral 'rescue dogs' - give me strength!!

I am an ex dog owner and love some dogs - just not the rubbish that seems to hit the headlines with such apalling frequency!
