Another Triumph For Diversity Hiring Practices!

Ofcom's online safety supervision director has been suspended after anti-Israel comments were posted on her private Instagram account.

Gosh!

Screengrabs published by the Guido Fawkes website appeared to show posts from Fadzai Madzingira's account describing Israel as an 'apartheid state'. She is also claimed to have liked a post criticising Israel and the UK for forming a 'vile colonial alliance'.

One wonders how she came to be in such a job, eh, Reader? If only there had been some warning...

Ms Madzingira describes herself as a 'Zimbabwean, a black feminist, a student of decolonisation and a deep believer in liberty for all' in the Instagram story obtained by the political website.

*sighs*

  1. Isn't she a colonist?

  2. I wonder why Ms Madzingira is living and working in the UK. It can't be because Zimbabwe is a decolonised shithole, could it?

  3. But there again,is no one allowed to express an opinion, no matter if it is offensive, in a private forum ?
My opinion in a private setting is nothing to do with anyone other than the intended recipient.
What next, do we start steaming open private letters to check that they contain nothing we may consider offensive.?

Privacy? "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.”

Hint: If I express an opinion on my "private" 40ft billboard ... it isn't private.

And ... your (hilarious, desperate) straw-man argument that ... a person employed only and specifically to 'judge and censor' people for expressing views and opinions 'she' finds offensive, 'shouldn't' face the same scrutiny because "privacy" and it 'might' lead to 'someone' (cough, you mean like the busybodies employed by Ofcom?) using completely unrelated, decades-old, out-of-context quotes, or spurious personal 'interpretations' or feelings, against people. Hmm, now 'who' would do that sort of thing?

As one of, I'm certain, 'your' heroes and role-models once said "make them live up to their own rules".

To précis; No, you don't get a pass, or special-treatment just because you're a reliable lefty or 'diverse'. Hypocrite!

You might say that, I couldn't possibly comment...😉

The Left set this bar, why should they not be checked when they hit it?
