Hadn't heard this old David Bowie song in ages, so was surprised to hear it on Radio Two last year, then thought 'Hang on, that's not the original!'...but it's a great cover, so well done, Nirvana, for breathing new life into it.
I really like Lulu's version. Nirvana used a very similar arrangement to Bowie's original version, still an excellent cover though. Bowie came up with a completely different arrangement for the Lulu version which I found much more interesting. Stonyground.

DeleteNirvana broke up in 1994 when Kurt Cobain performed some amateur cosmetic surgery with a shotgun so it's hardly breathing new life into it now.
