Just Another News Report With Salient Details Missing…

Armed police officers responding to reports of an assault at a Blackpool address made the grim discovery of a dead dog inside the property, Lancashire Constabulary has confirmed.

Better than a live, angry one, I’d have thought… One that might require special measures.

A cordon was established on Central Drive earlier today (October 3) after officers received a report that a woman had been attacked. Armed units were subsequently deployed to the address amid concerns that the suspect could be carrying weapons, with reports of dangerous dogs being present "inside the property".

 Seems those reports were correct.

"A thorough search of the property was conducted and a number of dogs were found, including one which was deceased. However, the suspect was not located and arrest enquiries remain ongoing. This is being treated as an isolated incident and there is no wider threat to the public.”

That would be reassuring if not for the fact they’ve studiously avoided not naming or describing the man they are supposedly searching for, not the breed of the dogs. That’s ok, we can all fill in the blanks by now.
