A rather mischievous gentleman in my part of town, submitted an application to the local authority for a 'Pride Parade', the route taking it past a synagogue, Mormon church, and mosque. Of course, no such parade was taking place as he was carrying out what he called a social experiment (everyone who knew him called it a bloody wind up). There were a few objections from people who lived on the route and none from the users of the synagogue or Mormon church. However, the mosque users protested in person at the council offices stating that a counter demonstration would take place outside the mosque at the same time as the parade. The parade request was withdrawn, as it always was going to be, and the local Muslims claimed a huge victory. Meanwhile, the local gentleman, with great hilarity, realised the conclusion of his social experiment. Muslims don't like crowds. Penseivat
I believe we are the dumbest animals on the planet. How did we ever manage to evolve past the ape stage. Most of the time our behaviour is no better now than it was then except we now have the capacity to think up many more stupid things to do. Extrapolating Pareto's law it can be discerned that 80% of the time we do the exact opposite to that which is good for us. The other 20% of the time must be our saving grace as we are still here even if we are not evolving much past being monkeys.
A large gathering of gays and associated supporters objecting to the ability and desire of ISIS (and friends) to plant bombs and indiscriminately murder innocents.

I wish the council would draw the obvious inference from this...

It all sounds magnificent but frankly my money is on the suicide bombers with the Kalashnikovs in that battle.

What could possibly go wrong?
@stengle,
One bang and they're gone.
