Following the announcement from leading left-wing blog Harry’s Place that they had received a letter threatening legal action from a firm of solicitors acting for Mohammed Sawalha, it seems that that move to silence his critics via the UK’s legal system is having an unfortunate blowback effect on the speakers list for the event he is also heavily involved in, ‘Islam Expo’.
Shame… ;)
I'm glad you have offered to support such a cause
ReplyDeletett
Of course it does raise the question of what these guys thought they were attending ?
ReplyDeleteWho did they think was going to the Islam Expo ? Sikhs ?

ReplyDeleteLet's be clear - the 'cause' I'm supporting is the right not to be cowed by legal 'lawfare' in an attempt to stifle free speech, when you have reported truthfully.
If 'Harry's Place' had been guilty of libel, I couldn't have supported them.

They don't seem to have investigated it too well, have they...? I guess they just thought the buffet would be outstanding ;)

ReplyDeleteI doubt Martin Bright had any illusions. He has a long history exposing the MAB et al. I guess he felt that someone had to counter the fools like Livingstone.
