Young people who carry knives will be made to visit hospitals where stabbing victims are treated, in a bid to shock them into changing their behaviour. So, two things struck me. They aren't expecting a lack of victims anytime soon, because they think they'll always be plenty 'on tap' to be gawped at, and what are they going to do if victims say 'No thanks, I'd rather not...'?
Home Secretary Jacqui Smith said seeing "gruesome" injuries would be a tougher deterrent than sending all knife carriers in England and Wales to jail.
Silly me. I don't suppose they were planning on asking them!
Typical libs. They really think everyone else just needs to be enlightened and they'll automatically come round to the liberal worldview.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the kidz are well aware that knives cause gruesome injuries - that would be why they carry them. What they really need is an opportunity to visit some of our other government facilities.
Indeed. And I can't think the Accident & Emergency staff would be too happy about the prospect of people getting underfoot. But then, no doubt Jacqui Smith didn't consider the need to ask them either...
ReplyDeleteAnd you can imagine the scene as one gang leader leans solicitously over the bed of another gang leader victim and whispers gently in his ear, "I'll get you proper next time, m***** f*****."
ReplyDeleteIt warms the heart, really it does!
Why so much about urban crime, does rural crime not concern you?
ReplyDeleteI don't even have a tag for 'rural crime'....but if I see something rurally-based to comment on, I'll certainly make one.
ReplyDeleteJeezus Aitch Chryst!

do these incompetents have any clue whatsoever?
they truly are making this up as they go along.
"they truly are making this up as they go along"
ReplyDeleteWhy, yes. Yes, I really think they are:
"The Prime Minister said the Government will target 110,000 problem families where children are either involved in antisocial behaviour or at risk of getting into trouble.
Parents of offenders in council housing could also face eviction, he suggested. "
Nowhere is there any acknowledgement that there'd be a statutory duty to rehouse a family with school age children...
We truly are governed by morons.
