"See me and the boys we don't like it, so we're getting up and going down...."

A suspected violent criminal on the run after being sprung from a prison van by armed men was the FIFTH member of the same family to try to escape from custody in the last ten months, it was revealed today.

Wayne Connor, 20, was snatched as he travelled to court from Feltham Young Offenders' Institution in west London yesterday.
And there’s a clue as to the sort of family there in the last sentence…
He was due to appear at Woolwich Crown Court alongside his brother, Jason McInerney, 21, who escaped from custody last year, and a third man.

McInerney savagely bit a detective's nose as he jumped from the dock at Reading Crown Court and fled last March. He was recaptured several days later.
So it’s not like they can say they weren’t warned about the sort of people they were dealing with when they made the arrangements.

They start young too:
His 15-year-old cousin also remains on the run after he pushed past a guard and jumped into a waiting car as he was being escorted into Harrow Youth Court in Middlesex without handcuffs on November 18.
So far, the authorities aren’t looking good, are they?
Mr Holford appealed for further information and said the escape "was orchestrated by highly dangerous men who we are anxious to arrest".

He said Connor, a traveller with connections in Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire, has a history of violence.

Mr Holford said: 'Mr Connor and the men with him are known to use aliases and false documents. They used violence today and have access to weapons.

'We also know that Mr Connor and the men with him use hotels so we are appealing to staff in hotels to keep an eye out for him.

'It is not just about finding Mr Connor, but also about finding the men who brandished a firearm on the streets of Feltham this morning.'
What the point in asking for help in finding them, since you have proven yourselves totally incapable of holding on to them…?

  1. I thought you'd pick up on that, seeing as it's not a million miles from where you live.

    Have you seen this though?

I hope that doesn't happen any more when you're Justice Minister.

  2. "Have you seen this though?"

Yeah, it's the post below this one ;)

Longrider offers the possibility it's the CPS's cockup. Whoever is at fault, it doesn't best serve the interests of justice, does it?

  3. The more times he escapes, the more often the police can nick him. Boosts the arrest figures.
