The Remakes Are Coming Quicker Than Ever...

A new version of 'Fame'...?

I mean, seriously? It was only in the cinemas...ummm....

Wow! I feel old...

  1. Didn't Gerri Halliwell and Jennifer Lopez do Fame-themed pop videos a couple of years ago, with the tiny pants and leggings?

That covered my Fame-themed requirements most admirably, no need for a film.

  2. "The Matrix" is ten years old this year.
    Where did the time go?

  3. Really does not matter how long ago it was, what makes these arogant pricks in Holywood, or wherever, think they can do better today, that which was damn good 30 years ago? "Flight of the Peonix", or "Titanic" for example.

And the constant remake of war films only serves the purpose of correcting our much misguided minds into thinking the U.S scum won the war totaly alone, without ANY help from ANY one but Texas.

The remake of "The Dambusters" being a case in point, that seems to have picked up a damn scum yankee pretty boy.

It didn't. You're just living inside a simulation telling you that it's no longer 1999 ;)

  5. To be fair, Von S., McCarthy and his crew were Americans, and took part in Operation Chastise, and many other operations afterwards. There were other US crews in 617 Sqn, e.g. Knilans.

My mind is constantly boggled by the antiquity of films I perceive as being recent. Case in point: I was watching Apollo 13 again the other night, and was stunned on looking it up on IMDb to find it's nearly 15 years old.

O.K. And I do not disparage what INDIVIDUAL U.S servicemen did, not only for the "allies" but for us Germans as well. Hel, my Great Aunt was German, but still ended up in Auschwitz.

What I DO object to is the wierd haircut, suit and TIE (!!!) and "know fuck all" brigade that polute "Hollywood" and the international "Isn't America just THE best" scene today.

The recent Sarkozy and his Pickeninny Osama (Or was it ob ama???)friend fest in France on 06/06/09 is a perfect example.
