And They Thought This Fruitcake Shouldn’t Be Allowed This Defence…

When asked about his views on abortion, Roeder, 51, said he believes it amounts to murder.

‘From conception forward it is murder… It is not a man's job to take life. It is our heavenly father's. He is our creator,’ Roeder, from Kansas City, Missouri, told the court in Wichita, Kansas.
That ‘thwack’ sound you just heard was his defence team’s mass /facepalming…

  1. Brilliant, well spotted. Perhaps he's going for a plea of insanity?

  2. Ultra-religious minds can manage blackwhite without even thinking... in fact not thinking is probably a prerequisite. Seriously, I have seen arguments like this before.

'From conception forward it is murder… It is not a man's job to take life. It is our heavenly father's. He is our creator.'

From there Roeder will probably go on to say that his 13 billion year old invisible friend did indeed take the life of Dr Tiller, but rather than make him have a heart attack or hit him with lightning or anything God instead chose to use Roeder. So it wasn't him you see, it was God.

Good luck with that, fucknuts. It worked out really well for Peter Sutcliffe.

  3. I notice you've highlighted two distinct concepts:

It is not a man's job to take life.

    and

    It is our heavenly father's.

Do you have objections to both?

Or is it that word life? In our longed-for, superlibertarian future maybe we can redefine this as any group of cells which can afford a lawyer.

  4. Unfortunately, late-term abortion, aka infanticide aka murder, is legal in Kansas.

Due to Mr Roeder's action, more children may avoid the abortionists' utensils of death.

I can't defend Mr Roeder's behaviour, but Dr Tiller has far more blood on his hands - the blood of innocent babes.

    Roeder killed a killer.

  5. I believe the upper limit for abortion should be 16 years of age.

Certainly the cretins I see should have been aborted, if only we could see ahead.

  6. FireForce,

Wouldn't it be fairer to punish those who have engineered our society to contain a large underclass with a disregard for what is right?

I'm not sure he would actually qualify, mad though that sounds!

"...in fact not thinking is probably a prerequisite."

    Almost certainly!

"I notice you've highlighted two distinct concepts...Do you have objections to both?"

No, I've highlighted them because this clown is on trial for murder. The irony should be obvious...

  9. "Unfortunately, late-term abortion, aka infanticide aka murder, is legal in Kansas. "

That's a tricky one - the procedure is indeed a revolting one, and the only medical excuse for it - EVER - should be the health of the mother.

"now you are quoting religious nuts... "

Yes, indeed. To mock them. It's a simple concept, I'd thought...

    "...fuck you and your god..."

    My god?

What's Chthulu ever done to you, charmingly-named visitor?

Not really, unless you're a pacifist. In Christian doctrine there is the notion of "just war" at the same time as the sixth commandment. Many liberal democracies have or used to have capital punishment.

The man may be a clown but if he believed his actions constituted a greater good, no, the irony is not obvious.

It'd have to be a pretty heavy duty one to keep up!

    "And the verdict is in."

Gosh! Well, you could blow me down with a feather...
