Coming Soon....

Last year's 'Soundtrack Retrospective' monthly look back at my favourite film themes from the soundtrack albums I'd purchased proved surprising popular, and a great deal of fun to do. So I'm going to do something similar again this year, with favourite TV themes/credit sequences.

But rather than simply pick one a month, I'm going to see if I can't group them into 'tv trends', and select one representative from each per month that I particularly like for its theme. It should be quite easy - we've all seen how if one channel gets a hit show about crime scene investigators, or mysterious goings-on, or vampires, suddenly they are ALL at it.

So this month's trend will be 'Keep Watching The Skies!'. See if you can guess what I'm going to pick as my favourite.

Post to be published tomorrow.

  3. Keep watching the skies? Ooo, a double reference: originally, The Thing From Another World, but I'm guessing it's time to cue songs in the key of X.......

  6. Interestingly wrong! Thing is I thought 'watch the skies' was one of the things that flashed up during the X-file credits, along with the truth is out there et al. Though granted it is a very long time since I saw X-Files. I got bored when it became clear the plot was going nowhere… more Invaders than Babylon 5.
