And He's Going To Be An Actor, You Say..?

Fancy that...
Yesterday, however, he became the first rioter in the country to have his sentence cut on appeal after his barrister said he was suffering ‘extreme anxiety’ at being locked up and was sleeping just a couple of hours a night.
Awwww, diddums! Hang on, I've got something here....where is it....

Ah, yes!

  2. Can't sleep at night ?

A spot of hard labour (and I don't mean extreme left wing politics either) would soon put him right ..

    Can't do your time ? ... Don't do the crime ..

Of course, had the likkle-ikkle boy got away with his criminal and anti-social actions, he would have slept soundly at night, naturally.

Unless the trainers I stole don't fit, then call me mates on the crackberry innit?

  4. ‘a moment of complete loss ... of self-control’

He lives in Chorlton. The offence took place in Deansgate, 4 miles away. Just how was this a "moment"? He had to get there, stand around and find the aggro, get in the shop, grab the booze and leg it.

‘a moment of complete loss ... of self-control’ my arse.

A few more nights sharing a shower block with 'Bubba' might be salutary.

  6. Until his arrest, Penney is believed to have attended a special unit for excluded pupils.
So that's what a gifted student is...

As Blueknight points out, the term 'gifted student' seems to be a misnomer for all sorts of reasons!

I'd love to see the prosecution stand up and challenge the defence on this. Sadly, I suspect that only happens in tv lawyer shows...

  8. Perhaps in this case "gifted" means that he was "given" to the Special Unit by the sort of school which normal, law-abiding kids attend ..
