Closure, But Some Confusion Over Dates…

The owner of four Rottweilers was ordered to pay thousands of pounds and given community service after her dogs rampaged through her neighbour's garden, killing their children's rabbits.
Yes, this is the story I blogged here and here.
White's defence counsel, Craig Tipper, said that the height of the boundary of the dogs' pen had eroded due to heavy rain.
He added: "She accepts she didn't do enough."
White was sentenced to 180 hours community service and ordered to pay back costs of £2,269.99. She was also banned from owning dogs for five years.
Wow, the acid rain must be fearsome in Rettendon!
Two days after the incident, all four dogs were destroyed.
But hang on! The incident was first reported in the 1st Sept online edition of the paper, with the family complaining that not enough had been done.

The seizure of the dogs was reported in the 3rd Oct online edition of the paper, with the council saying it was up to the court to order destruction.

That's a lot more than 'two days after the incident', isn't it? Don't they read their own stories for consistency?

  1. I don't know how Newspaper proprietors get away with employing YTS "Jody's" and daring to call them journalists ..

  2. In theory, you expect more of the 'Fail', though, being one of the bigger mammals - er, fish, in the media sea!
