Eh? Surely Some Mistake?

Ms West, who has been attending parenting classes to help her cope with Sonny's temper
Shouldn't he be getting some sort of lesson in how to not be a spoilt, arrogant, aggressive little brat?
She said: "I cannot wait to have him back home with us.
"I talk to him regularly on the phone and he is doing well.
"We are planning to have a barbecue or a nice meal out somewhere he comes home...."
Hull restaurants and eateries, you have been warned!

It sounds very much as if Sonny needs to come up against someone who is neither intimidated by, nor impressed with his temper tantrums and who is willing & able to "picturise" him if he fails to heed the warning signs ..

In today's wishy-washy, wanky Britain, I won't be holding my breath that it might happen anytime soon ..

There's far too big an "industry" busily gorging themselves on the Sonnys' of this world ..

  2. Whereas a quick slap when he was younger would have sorted Sonny out very quickly, also possibly the Scouts or the Cadets would have channelled his energies. A bit of discipline, the realisation that the world is a good place to live and that if he wants it he can have a part of it.

I am with the Captain on this one, there is an industry which needs young Sonny and countless more like him to keep the money and the management jobs roling in.

Spot on ! I managed perfectly well with "Woah ! You do NOT speak to me like that, I... Am... Your... Mother !".

Now one will tell the other "oi don't speak to mum like that."

No idea whatsoever how I managed to get them to police each other.

  4. The keys to this may be in the details: a name like 'Sonny' and his mother having a different surname to his.

The comments are interesting. Suggestions he might find a useful outlet in the armed forces are followed up by the comment that they could use him "as a sandbag if nowt else" made me laugh.

I think Sonny is doomed, but not before he causes chaos to the lives of many others and is laid to rest eulogised (as always in these cases) as a 'loveable rogue'TM.

  7. There's a Chinese restaurant in Hull which has a wonderful way of dealing with troublesome customers. One of the 'chefs' comes out with a large wok or frying pan and tw*ts the troublemaker over the head with it before disappearing back into the kitchen. So far no one has ever been prosecuted for assault as the victim usually says something like, "I dunno who done it. They all the f*cking same to me!" Wonderful.

And, sadly, that isn't going to be anyone in the justice or rehabilitation services...

"No idea whatsoever how I managed to get them to police each other."

    Evolution..? ;)

"I think Sonny is doomed, but not before he causes chaos to the lives of many others.."

I bet his local paper has an obituary all prepared and ready.
