I Guess Parking Wardens Won’t Be Voting Labour In Future…

Mr Khan said in an interview with the council’s independent investigator that he feared for his life after the unnamed parking warden would not back down.
It’s usually just a fine for these things, isn't it? Not your life, or the soul of your first-born son?
Responding to enquiries from the Standard Mr Khan strongly denied threatening to get a machete, saying: “I don’t even own such items.”
He added: “Parking wardens are horrible people and all they want to do is apply a ticket to meet their targets. I just asked him for few seconds. It's a growing concern in London.”
So, Mr Khan is happy to smear a whole selection of society, is he?

Well then, I feel better about seeing this headline in the 'Metro' last week and briefly wondering whether the council in question was Tower Hamlets...

  1. The sad thing is that your guess is very likely to be wrong. There is still a huge number of people who CANNOT vote for the not-Labour (or not-Conservative, in other areas). It is the continued existence of these sheeple that keeps the Big 3 con artists in office.

  2. Anwar Khan ought to be positively grateful to the traffic warden for saving him committing a real offence:

From the article - "The warden allegedly refused Mr Khan’s request for a brief grace period to allow him to carry his sleeping son into his house as he left the engine running. "

Not to mention the gratitude his insurance company owes to said traffic warden. Leaving a car unoccupied with the engine running in Tower Hamlets, of all places, invites a 'Gone in 60 seconds' scenario.

Candidates to be a councillor really ought to need to pass a basic intelligence test before being allowed to stand.

I live in Ruralshire where Street planning was last done around the time of the Magna Carta. Norfolk High Streets are just wide enough to allow a Lord Of The Manor to ride his steed past the cap doffing serfs.

Almost daily I witness the sight of a 'Blues and Toons' stuck behind a parked car -"just letting the memsahib out to pop to the shop" or "I'm only dropping Jasmine off at school". Tesco Home Delivery has killed more people than Shipman.

So when I rule the world, Traffic wardens will be 'Traffic Police',have Warrant Cards, Side Arms and not be forced to wear demeaning uniforms with silly caps. They will also have the power to take driving licenses off people on the spot. You park on a double yellow then you can hand over your keys. Those guys are heros- I mean that seriously. The MSM loves to portray them as 'Little Hitlers', 'JobsWorths' or 'Meter Maids' but in reality they save lives.

  4. That you eke out an existence as a Parking Warden in order to 'save lives' is a very noble calling, Dopey.

But your Billy Liar vision of gun-toting 'Warden Dredds' will never materialise. When motorists devalue your role with 'Little Hitler' and 'Jobsworth' jibes; just hit back with "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me."

"That you eke out an existence as a Parking Warden"

Nope, I'm a "carer" (that whole 'in sickness and in health' thang) -never been a traffic warden nor have I ever had sexual relations with one.

I like the mental image of Warden Dredds though..if they would also be allowed to blast pooping pooches...and those children who spit gum on the pavements.

    Now I'm even more depressed...

"Candidates to be a councillor really ought to need to pass a basic intelligence test ..."

It'd have to be VERY basic!

"Tesco Home Delivery has killed more people than Shipman."

    LOL!

"..and those children who spit gum on the pavements."

    AMEN!
