Another Of Those Poor Starving Waifs Who ‘Need’ To Use Foodbanks…

A qualified veterinary nurse faces jail for animal cruelty after her emaciated and dying British Bulldog was discovered lying in a gutter.
Yeah, but since the usual ‘reports’ have been called for, I very much suspect she’ll get off. They usually do.
Admitting an animal cruelty charge, she told Birmingham Magistrates that she couldn’t even afford to feed herself, and had been forced to rely on food bank handouts, the Birmingham Mail reports.
If so, then I can only say – looking at her picture – those Northern food banks are waaaaaaaay too generous!

Update: No surprises. Just what do you have to do to get a suitable punishment in this country?

Of course, there's only the one vets in or around Brum for the bloated cow to work at! Looking at the size of her, I'm only surprised the poor bloody dog didn't have tooth marks on it.

  2. What??

She must show up on radar...

When she walks backwards, can you hear a beeping sound?

  3. Perhaps animal sadists are attracted to vets as paedophiles are to schools?

Apparently, you have to say unkind things about Islam, or tweet obvious jokes born out of frustration, or even - horror of horrors! - be unkind to someone on Facebook.

Wewll, I don't do Twitter of Facebook, so that only leaves me one naughty choice...

  5. PS,
Forgot to add that if she had ever missed a meal, then like Ian Hislop, I'm a banana.

Until one of our bewigged buffoons joins us on this planet, poor animals will continue to suffer at the hands of lowlifes such as she.

Inadequate or not, depressed or otherwise, it's all irrelevant.

She's an utter lowlife - absolute scum - who should be removed from society for a very long time.

  6. Lots of judgmental comments. Are you all psychiatrists? Or perfect under duress?

I'll tell you who you can also blame - and I know this from personal experience - so called friends and neighbours who don't give a darn about people living among them who have depression.

And since when did you face jail for not feeding your dog through lack of money and illness? Like Ted says, she must have tweeted about it.

And yes, I do like dogs and have my own.

    Stewart:
First, is this 'depression' medically diagnosed or just the usual whine to get out from under?
Second, the dog was not just thin, it was emaciated and dying in the gutter, are there no animal rescue places in Birmingham? Friends and neighbours? Perhaps you have a point, but equally did people try to help and were told to piss off!
Thirdly, a qualified Veterinary Nurse should have no trouble whatever getting a new job in a big city, or is there a back story to this?
Finally, she is still a porker, so obviously there was little attempt to see to the dog's welfare as well as her own.

  8. Robert - we don't know the whole story, exactly, yet you continue to judge re. 'porker'.

Neither of us knows what the woman's circumstances are or can see inside her head and soul, so I choose not to judge and just feel sorry for the poor dog and her, who obviously has genuine problems, as nobody in their right mind does that to a dog deliberately.

And your jibe about depression is stupid as well. Best all round if you keep you thoughts to yourself (sic), really as you are now trying to judge me as well.

Yes, I have been diagnosed with depression FYI and I know a damned sight about it, so I suggest you confine your ignorance and misplaced judgments to yourself.

  9. Stewart - so being depressed, which is a label the dissatisfied with an unrealistic sense of entitlement apply to themselves a lot, excuses animal cruelty in your book? Grow up!

    Now there's a thought...

    "Is Gruinard still free"

A bit tough on the poor seabirds...

    "Lots of judgmental comments. "

Well....yes. That's pretty much what blogging's for, no?

  11. "And since when did you face jail for not feeding your dog through lack of money and illness?"

Since we decided we'd rather not have people doing it, maybe?

"Stewart - so being depressed, which is a label the dissatisfied with an unrealistic sense of entitlement apply to themselves a lot, excuses animal cruelty in your book?"

It doesn't in mine. Her depression seems strangely selective - unable to open a tin of Pedigree Chum, but no problem with pies, chips & chocolate on her own plate.

  12. Why has nobody mentioned that the toenails of that poor dog had grown into he pads?
That means months of utter neglect. So it's not just her starving her poor dog, for months.
And why was that dog found dying in the gutter, and not at her home?
Nobody can tell me her 'depression' was so savage that she was incapable of calling a dog rescue to pick her dog up.
I have no words to describe my loathing fro that woman.
