20 is not allowed so anything that totals 20 doesn't make sense to them. You can talk them through 1+1 and so on but when you hit 19+1 they just don't get it their brians sieze up and the refuse to understand. Even trying other directions 2+2, 10+10, etc. won't make them admit 20 exists.
It is the only way their theory works. Ignore all its failings by simply refusing to accept they are true. We on the other hand except our theory has failings so they win in their minds. Their theory no downside our theory admitted downsides. Thus their way is better. Drives me mad.
On the positive side more and more people that can add up are coming out and speaking up. Only these these limp wristed liberals and politicians, but I repeat myself. Things are changing. Too fucking slowly but they are changing.
