A council spokesman said: “We are also developing our cultural offering and Barking is being increasingly recognised as the new hub for the creative arts in east London.”*stunned disbelief*
I'm particularly fortunate to be only an hour's drive from Hull - the designated 2017 Cultural Capital of the UK - a fine achievement, having beaten off other jewels in the crown such as Leicester and Swansea.
