An 11-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital with chest and arm injuries after he was bitten by a family dog.
Police were called to Commercial Street in Rishton at 6pm on Friday, June 23, after the youngster was bitten by an American Bulldog at his home.
Ah. The new pitbull for the underclass,.
Inspector John Fryer said the boy has suffered puncture wounds to his arms, chest and underarms but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, according to local radio station 2BR.
He said: "The incident happened at an address in Commercial Street, Rishton. It was an isolated incident and the dog was contained in a back yard when our police dog handler arrived. It wasn't running around attacking the public.
"The dog has been removed to kennels and will be destroyed on the instructions of the owner, who is the boy's mother."
At least it was her
own kid, and not some other mother's child...
Why do we need the owner's instruction to put it down?
ReplyDeleteBecause without it, the police have to do some actual work to get a court order...
