Shoebury councillor James Moyies warned dog owners to take responsibility for their dog or face the consequences.
He said: “I have been walking my dog there for 11 years and during that time and haven’t really had any problems but people have to have their dogs under control at all times.
“If these incidents keep on happening we will have to bring in a by law to deep dogs on leads at all times. This sort of thing is just not acceptable.”
Indeed not. And who will deal with it? Not the people
paid to do so, that's for certain...
Police are investigating both incidents.
Police were contacted about the latest incident on Monday at 1.30pm. A police spokeswoman was unable to respond in time.
There's a surprise, eh?

ReplyDeleteNo, absolutely not Mr Moyies. Punishing the majority for the crimes of a small minority is not justifiable in a free country.
Enforce current laws rather than promoting headline grabbing virtue signalling unnecessary new laws.
@JuliaM
Why are you supporting him?
Keeping all dogs on leads would be a good thing; it would reduce more than just attacks.
ReplyDeleteThere's fouling, traffic accidents...
