The Met Police Declare UDI...

...and so they no longer police with my consent. Nor, I suspect, that of a great many other Londoners:
Statement regarding floral tributes in Hither Green:
Chief Superintendent Simon Dobinson, Lewisham Borough commander, said: “I am aware of the concerns that have been raised by residents regarding the floral tributes placed in Hither Green.
“My officers have a responsibility to provide reassurance to local residents so they can go about their daily lives...
A responsibility you have abdicated. As many have pointed out, this comes as no surprise.
...while also respecting the wishes of family and friends to mark the loss of a loved one.
“They are not there to safeguard or facilitate the laying of floral tributes; we are liaising with the local authority who are considering appropriate management of the floral tributes.
'Appropriate', eh? I'm sure one of the neighbours will move their vehicle for the council to place a skip...
“I do not want anyone to feel intimidated or that they are not being allowed to respond in a dignified way to a tragic death.
Christ! It's like words have no meaning anymore!

The neighbours have told you they regard this as intimidation. You've blatently ignored that. There's nothing 'dignified' about this tacky chavshrine.

And the only tragedy about this death (apart from the consequences for the innocent householder) is that one of the thieving scum got away unscathed. Maybe your efforts would be better placed looking for him?
“We would urge members of the public to respect the wishes of those who choose to place flowers and other tributes in the area.
And the wishes of those whose property they are attaching them to..?
“We would also request those placing tributes or visiting the area to behave in a responsible manner so as not to disrupt the local community.
*hollow laugh*
“A small police presence remains in place in and around South Park Crescent to provide reassurance to the public.
You provide none. Not any more. You are less use than a chocolate fireguard.
“There have been no arrests. Officers will assess any potential criminal offences including any allegations that are made to police, which will be dealt with in a fair and appropriate manner on an individual basis.”
Fair enough, then. You've made it abundantly clear you no longer consider that you work to Peelian principles, but rather whatever politically correct garbage is rammed down your throats.

And the rank and file might bitch and complain and plead 'but we're not like that', but while you carry out the orders from above anyway, what's the difference?

So I can't withhold the money you take from my salary to do everything but what you are supposed to do (keep the peace, and not appease), but I can - and will - withhold any assistance you might have asked of me.

Want information? If I have it, you won't get it.

Want help if you're being assaulted? I'll walk on by. You've made it clear you don't serve me. Why should I be concerned?

Congratulations. You've made this lifelong Tory voting, law & order hanger and flogger take the same attitude towards you as the criminal gangs in the roughest housing estate. You truly deserve the epithet 'filth'.

  1. I'd have thought that the police force in its current state would have collapsed years ago, but somehow it still manages to get away with this sort of thing. Can it just keep going like this, now acting openly against the wider public?

  2. The problem is that the dead scrote is from the 'traveller' community and is therefore a protected species.

  3. Was it not enough that Hither Green residents contend with one variety of scum, WC Jaded?

  4. Wow Julia, don't hold back!

But you're right, and by alienating the law abiding they are storing up a sea of troubles for themselves and in the medium term for us, but you know what, I couldn't really care less any more.

The PC fuckers are trashing everything that is great about our country and some serious turbulence is long overdue.

    People have to choose sides.

  5. It's a shame that no one has thought of putting up balloons with the word "SCUMBAG" or GOOD RIDDANCE" on them cards. Cards could even be displayed showing something like "Hope you enjoyed your last birthday, because you won't have another one". I wonder if the caring, loving, travellers will respect those commemorations to their departed thieving relative. Normally, I would hesitate to speak ill of the dead, but in Vincent's case, I'll make an exception.

  6. Wel said. Plod has made it clear whose side he's on and it's not ours.

  7. Well said

And on a lighter note, no matter how many time I try, I simply cannot say, "tacky chavshrine" out loud and pronounce it correctly.

  8. I think the alienation is all part of a plan to arm the filth. Then they can starting to properly "enforce" whatever is said to be "the law".

  9. "And the rank and file might bitch and complain and plead 'but we're not like that', but while you carry out the orders from above anyway, what's the difference?" -- indeed, and history tends to take a pretty dim view of those whose excuse is "we were only following orders".

  10. I was brought up to respect the police and have assisted them on occasion. But some time ago I came to regard them as mere government goons, more interested in enforcing political correctness than the law. I am rather sad to see you come around to the same view. I was hoping that I had gone astray and that you were right to persist in trusting them.

  11. The police (and by that I mean the individual officers who make up the force, not the management) need to realise they're on a very slippery slope. They are screaming down a ski ramp to becoming a paramilitary arm of State power, who control the population both practically and in thought. The sort of police force one expects from a dictatorship basically, rather than the traditional citizen police force of Peelian principles. And as such they need to realise that generally never ends well, for the police. Eventually the people catch up with the dictatorship and those who collaborated have to pay the price.

Thats where the police are heading - being regarded as 'the enemy' by the entire population, not just the criminals. And when the politicians who are protecting them now are railroaded (or driven) out of office, the public will be gunning for individual police officers next, to even old scores.

You should be careful whose horse you are hitching your cart to.

  12. 'On-the-Lamb' Jaded is a trifle late with her usual boasting of police popularity and scorn for those critical of Mr Plod; the insane and the worst criminal elements.

I sense we might at last be reaching a tipping point. Especially if the scum are allowed to take their cortege down the road as they plan...

    "Wow Julia, don't hold back!"

I always used to, but you know what? This case is the straw that broke the camel's back.

"It's a shame that no one has thought of putting up balloons with the word "SCUMBAG" or GOOD RIDDANCE" on them cards."

Would almost certainly get you arrested for 'hate crime'. The pikeys can't read, but one assumes the filth still can...

"...history tends to take a pretty dim view of those whose excuse is "we were only following orders"."

Me too. But they've made their bed. I hope they don't find it too uncomfortable in the future.

"The police (and by that I mean the individual officers who make up the force, not the management) need to realise they're on a very slippery slope. They are screaming down a ski ramp to becoming a paramilitary arm of State power..."

From what I see on Twitter, some of them are actually looking forward to that.

Well if they are they are idiots. There are 650 MPs, who currently are providing the political muscle to the police, and those MPs can be changed in the twinkling of an eye. There's 125k (ish) police officers in the UK and 40m people of working age. I wouldn't like those odds if I was a copper.

  16. @ Sobers

For some, it will no longer suffice to be rid of our police. An excess of police wrongdoing and corruption must be addressed and this will necessitate the establishment an independent bureau, fresh investigations and robust prosecutions in the post-police UK.
