Protesters have been demonstrating outside the circus since it arrived on Hove Lawns on August 16.
They disagree with its use of budgies and horses.Well, yes. It's a circus, it should be lions and elephants!
One campaigner who witnessed the arrest on Wednesday said: “One of Zippo’s acts is a budgie pushing another budgie in a car.
“I fail to understand how that can be classed as entertainment.”Never a truer word...
Oh sorry, are circuses (circui?) supposed then to be places of entertainment? There was me thinking they existed merely to keep clowns contained in a relatively safe space away from us normal people.

ReplyDelete@Ted While our politicians and those in office over us may rightly be described as 'incompetent fools' or even, as they say in German 'screaming to heaven type stupid' they do not, by and large, display the total evil malevolence of true clowns...although Davis, Raab, Boris, JRM and May get bloody close to a place in the middle ring at the Big Top.
