You Don't Seem To Be 'Making Paignton A Safer Place' After All, Do You?

Certainly not if the perpetrator is the local nut. This appeal popped up on my Facebook feed:

It appears that after initially 'investigating' (i.e. sending a PCSO, of which they seem to have a fair few), and actually registering an official crime number (CR/095369/20), the police and press hastily reversed course and immediately deleted all references and appeals they'd made for information. Press reports were hastily deleted. They have refused to consider assisting the distraught cat's owners. Despite the claims that this man has done the same before.

And why? Because the magic words 'mental health issues' were apparently uttered. Whereupon the state's agents and fearless local press crusaders immediately decided he was the real victim here.

How, one might ask, does this keep Paignton a safer place?

  1. I have often wondered why it is that these people are always the professional victim types. No friends or large sons who could go round for a word, no jam in them to do it themselves. I can assure you that an axe handle properly applied or a bit of facial modification with a brick would soon bring out the location of puss! I am heartily sick of every loser and degenerate having "mental issues" when it comes time to pay the piper, lets go back to them having physical issues instead!

  2. Oh come on nobody believes that policing today is about keeping anybody or anything safe do they? We all know it's about police keeping themselves safe and comfortable while raising as much revenue as possible from the law abiding cash cows. Blame the victim and only prosecute the easy cases where the normally law abiding peasent will pay up is the name of the game.

  3. Is it because ... he's a nutter of no particular description? Obviously. That particular group has a lot of mental issues because of cousin marriage.

  4. The cat thief has now denied that he stole Pudsey, the police eventually mentioned to him that there is clear CCTV footage of him stealing her and carting her off to dump somewhere as yet unknown. On hearing this, the thief refused to speak another word without having his solicitor present. Mental, manipulative and very canny.

He's currently being protected by a social worker and a raft of similar parasites, some of them actually involved in cat rescue and all trying to 'outwoke' each other.

Poor cat doesn't stand a chance.

Me too, it's become the 'Get out of jail free' card for the sort of people who make others' live an absolute misery.

"Oh come on nobody believes that policing today is about keeping anybody or anything safe do they?"

It's a comforting fiction we've allowed ourselves. But watching the reaction of the average 'bobby on the street' to the enforcement of the increasingly draconian covid restrictions, I'm no longer prepared to believe they are lions led by donkey.

Hard to tell from the cctv but I suspect not...
