Rejoice!

Because they won't!
In February this year radical feminist Miss Scottow, 40, was handed a two-year conditional discharge, and ordered to pay £1,000 compensation, with district judge Margaret Dodds telling her: ‘Your comments contributed nothing to a debate. We teach children to be kind to each other and not to call each other names in the playground.’
But, overturning the decision, Mr Justice Warby explained that the relevant parts of the Communications Act ‘were not intended by Parliament to criminalise forms of expression, the content of which is no worse than annoying or inconvenient in nature’.
Wow, such an important ruling must be very prominent in the left wing press, surely? Let's look at the 'Guardian':

Hmmm, OK. How about the 'Indy', once I've fought through all the ads?

Nothing to see here either. How strange! Could it be they didn't prepare anything because they thought they'n never lose?

  1. Stephanie Hayden has a long and ignominious record for using the law to silence or intimidating those who question either her or the trans cult in general. She sued Father Ted writer Graham Linehan, brought another action against a feminist author Helena Wojtczak, has sued Mumsnet and a trans solicitor in addition to the Kate Scottow case.

The decision by the Appeal Court is indeed a momentous one and a judgement that may have really positive influences on the free speech, or rather lack of it, culture that exists in the UK. The Communications Act has been used hundreds of times as an excuse to arrest and prosecute those who 'offend' the woke or who mock high profile figures that belong to one of the unjust 'protected characteristics' or who merely say words that some uninvolved third party claims they found 'offensive'. It is to be hoped that this judgement, one that is truly just and sorely needed, will encourage those Britons who have been prosecuted under the Communications Act because they've 'offended' someone, to appeal their convictions.

  2. or they only had a statement for a win and were too busy wailing and wringing their hands to prepare and alternative.

  3. It is quite likely that the plan is just to keep readers uninformed. In 2013 a guy called Turney took a ship to Antarctica to investigate how the ice was all melting. The ship was jam packed with Guardian and BBC journalists. Instead of finding that the ice was melting the ship got stuck in it. It gave climate change sceptics a good laugh but those who get their news from the Guardian or the Beeb never heard a thing about it.

Indeed! The photo of 'her' outside court was somewhat at odds with her publicity photo, I couldn't help but notice.

Let's hope so! I await the anguished columns in CiF...

    Oh, I well remember that!
