Physician, Heal Thyself...

A family GP used his Twitter account to intimidate a series of social media rivals opposed to his pro-transgender views, a medical tribunal heard today.
Dr Adrian Harrop, 31, who is an associate GP at Brownlow Health Central in Liverpool, gave his supporters clues that would allow them to identity and potentially target individuals for online and even real-world abuse.

Surely, since that's against Twitter's T&Cs, he doesn't still have an account? Well, you'd think not, but here he is

The GMC launched its first investigation into Dr Harrop's pro-trans campaign in 2018, following complaints not only about the content but also the fact that he was a medical practitioner.
Two years later it decided to take disciplinary action against him, deciding that his most extreme tweets had impaired his fitness to practice and amounted to misconduct.

Seems the GMC moves even slower than Twitter when it comes to booting out the wrong 'uns....

  1. I see that the account has been protected and also, apparently it has been "grabbed" to stop him being harrassed by TERFs. You really couldn't make this stuff up. These people are impervious to reality.

  2. Dr Harrop has a long history of promoting trans issues at the expense of natal women.

  3. I don't see any reason why people shouldn't have contrarian views like his. After all, you'd know that he was a fuckwit the moment he opened his mouth or put pen to paper (virtually).

  5. @Anonymous, it isn't his views that are the problem. It's his campaign of harassment and doxxing that got him into trouble and rightly so.

  6. If that's what he's been saying 'publicly' (even a f*ckwit would know it wasn't completely anonymous) what's he been saying/doing to those vulnerable patients in private?

We've seen with chinkypox just how much the mainstream, middle-of-the-road GP's and hospital doctors have been willing to ignore the pretence of even the vaguest acknowledgement of a duty of care, ethics or morals so ... what do you think an extremist fruitcake like this has been up to?

Yes, everybody has a right to hold their own opinions, but when that person holds immeasurable power over your health, and even your life, then those rights should be both openly known, and limited. In an ideal world, people who 'choose' to seek this delusional quacks opinion would be able to, but when there's a limited, enforced, service it means effectively his opinions are being rammed down many peoples throats, against their will ... and they're forced to pay for it.

One thing the trans mania and cov have done at least is to reveal for all time just who, and how many, of 'our betters' are corrupt, lying, amoral, mercenary sacks of canine excrement.

  8. I've just started to dig through this post on Graham Linehan's blog and so far it's truly appalling. Kids who have alleged 'trans conditions' treated with puberty blockers and are ending up with Osteoporosis in their teens because they are not going through normal puberty and therefore not building bone mass.

anon you are correct. If Harrop is saying such outrageous things in public then just imagine what he might be saying in private, to vulnerable children adn their parents.

Whilst I believe that any sane adult over the age of 21 should be able to embark on a gender transition, this crap should be kept well away from children. We now have the awful situation where the medical profession is basically experimenting on children with regards to these transitions (the vast majority of which are not needed as most gender identity stuff in kids is stuff they just grow out of). Transing kids is child abuse.

I'd like to know why the BMA are dealing with him, when it should be the police...

"I don't see any reason why people shouldn't have contrarian views like his."

As Longrider points out, views are one thing, actions quite another.

    It's a pretty frightening thought, isn't it?

And yet there's concern that the new bill to prevent conversion therapy might halt any chance of countering these people.

  10. Looks like Harrop has got off quite lightly. https://grahamlinehan.substack.com/p/a-homeopathic-level-of-justice

The problem that some have with the conversion therapy bill is that it might prevent therapists from offering anything other then affirmation of the new gender to those coming to them because of distress about their own gender identity or things related to it. The way it's phrased could end up playing it Stonewall's hands.
