Three Little Pigs Huff And Puff, For A Change...

Three former police chiefs have said errors made in the search for two missing sisters was the result of bias, as the murdered women’s mother dismissed as “hollow” an apology for the blunders.

Oh? And who are the three

Sue Fish, the former chief constable of Nottinghamshire, said on Tuesday that bias had been a factor: “I see plenty of bias. The IOPC report gives licence to continue to fail people of colour, and women of colour, into the future.”
“It does not have a finding of racism, it addresses things in performance terms and misses this everyday casual unconscious bias against people of colour and women.”

Ah, a long-serving ACPO mouthpiece

Former Met chief superintendent Dal Babu said the mother of the murdered sisters was right in insisting bias was a factor: “If this had been a white, middle class social worker, would police have dealt with it differently. I’m convinced they would have.”

Oh, a typical uniformed race-hustler

Former Met chief superintendent Victor Olisa, a former head of diversity at the force, said: “I think there is bias, I know the investigation of missing persons is not as professional as it ought to be.
“There is bias, the IOPC can’t find it.”

Oh, a former cop tasked with finding bias, who can find it anywhere it seems, even when he's no longer being paid to do so.

  1. Police are on the back foot with this case because of the two idiots who took selfies. What were they thinking?
But if you ignore that and look at the facts...they were two adults so low priority. That borough had 16 other missing persons that late shift alone. They were already dead when reported missing.
And the fact most ignored yet again bt the media...it was yet another murder by an insane immigrant. The police did not kill these women.

  2. The uniformed race baiters here are talking bollocks. There was no bias here only police indolence and incompetence.

Jaded I disagree with you here. Yes they were adults but the family were well aware that something was wrong and made a number of approaches to the police to get them off of their arses, something they did not do.

I agree with you that this ws yet another murder by yet another insane and unwanted migrant but that does not excuse police inaction in this case. It might well be the case that these sisters were dead when the report came in but it could also be the case that they might not have been. Also the police did not find the bodies of these murdered women, it was left to the relatives who were looking for them who found them.

  3. Have you any idea how many people a year are reported missing every year? The amount is frightening.
Covid and cuts have decimated our numbers. These women were not vulnerable and in my opinion the family of mispers should do more than just ring 999 and go back to watching jeremy Kyle whilst the police do everything.

  4. The media made a great thing of the fact that the murderer had made a pact with the Devil to kill women and in return he would win the lottery.

Devil to idiot: For Fuck's Sake, at least buy a ticket!

The only Lottery Win he could be given was that he would get housed and fed for a large part of his life, and also plenty of sex, even if the latter made his ringpiece sore ...

And, by the way, note his religion.

  5. To Jaded. Yes I do know how many people are reported missing each year, it's 98k adults. According to a charity that highlights the problem of people going missing the vast majority of those adults who go missing are suffering from mental illness, financial troubles, relationship issues or dementia.

None of those factors applied in this case. The fact that this was not a run of the mill missing persons report should have stood out as such to the officers dealing with (or in this case not dealing with) this case.

The family and friends of the two murdered women were very aware that being out of contact was highly unusual behaviour for them which is why they made repeated attempts to get the police to take notice. Not only did the police not take this highly unusual missing persons report seriously officers also prematurely closed the case. It was left to the family and friends of these sisters to get out on the streets and do the searching for them with virtually no assistance at this time from the police.

These women were not vulnerable in terms of mental illness or anything like that but going missing like that was seen as highly unusual by the family and the Met didn't take any notice of their concerns or take note of any relevant background information that the family supplied.

I'd be interested in your take on how Covid has devastated police numbers as there seems to have been plenty of officers available to hassle little old ladies taking a break on a park bench during their permitted hours of exercise and in one case to misuse their warrant card to murder a woman.

As for cuts, there doesn't seem to be any cutbacks amongst the diversity grifters of various police forces does there?

I'm more than willing to cheer and applaud the police when they get things right, but in this case they got things badly wrong.

  7. Jaded. The Met still screwed up here big time. The Met were forced to admit it and send the errant staff for retraining. They could and should have done better and no amount of you defending the indefensible will change that.

  8. "And the fact most ignored yet again bt the media...it was yet another murder by an insane immigrant."

They aren't ever going to bring that to anyone's attention. And don't need to, we all know that.

But as Fahrenheit points out, that's not the crux of the matter anyway.

"...and in my opinion the family of mispers should do more than just ring 999 and go back to watching jeremy Kyle whilst the police do everything."

    Like finding the bodies?

"And, by the way, note his religion."

I haven't seen any mention of it, but do Muslims believe in the devil? I know they do believe in demons...

"None of those factors applied in this case. The fact that this was not a run of the mill missing persons report should have stood out as such to the officers dealing with (or in this case not dealing with) this case."

Spot on. I actually think the known nutters get a better response, simply because they are frequent flyers, known to police, and their usual destinations have already been logged.
