Ha ha, did you miss "Hoard" Julia?

And surely, they are not invading hordes, they are vulnerable cephalopods seeking a better life who will integrate and contribute greatly to society.

Except Octopi is not a good plural for Octopus although it is used. It assumes Octopus comes from the Latin whereas it comes from the Greek. The plural should therefore be Octopodes. However, in English foreign words may be pluralised as if they were English words so Octopuses is correct. More correct than Octopi.

As it is a Greek word rather than Latin the plural is octopodes but octopuses is the correct English spelling.
