A spokesman for the force said: 'Police were called shortly after 7.10pm yesterday to a report of a domestic assault at a property on Fern Street in Farnworth, Bolton.
'Officers attended the scene and attempted to arrest a man in his 20s.
'After the situation escalated, a Taser was deployed to maintain the safety of all involved.
'The Taser was removed and man subsequently made off on foot...
Whoops! Guess they needed more power, but where are they going to get it?
...into Farnworth train station where he sustained serious injuries while on the railway line.
'He remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
Ah. Never mind.

Fancy a railway station being named after a character in "The Simpsons", who after all, owns an electricity-generating nuclear power station. How coincidental.
My take on Boris is that to be re-elected at the next GE, he has to shrug off the Remainers in his own party to survive until then.
AFterwards, he needs some proper policies. Here's my list:
Drop the maximum VAT rate on everything to 10%
Remove all "green" taxes
Decide whether he wants VAT or Fuel duty on automobile fuels, not both
Start fracking
Ipprison eco nutters
Crack down on Stabbies
Increase the size of the armed forces
Sort out the Police, certainly taking down Cressida Dyke (preferably having her tried for murder)
Sort out the NHS bureaucracy, and turn it back into a Health Service
Build more nuclear generating stations
Stop the subsidy on Wind Farming
Return Stupid motorways to a sensible layout
Tell cyclists to Foxtrot Oscar
At least they won't have to charge him. With the taser and the 25kV, that is quite enough electrons for now.

I'd vote for that! If I thought there was a chance of even 10% getting through...
