I'll Believe It When I See It...

Met Police officers will be banned from supporting 'woke' causes while on duty, Britain's most senior policeman has warned.
Sir Mark Rowley says officers won't be allowed to take the knee, fly rainbow flags or wear badges that support environmental causes, The Telegraph reported.
However, the police commissioner said it is 'perfectly proper' for officers to wear remembrance poppies, Help for Heroes wristbands and the police memorial badge.
What took so long? Did Suella tell him his fortune, at last?
His view on the issue differs significantly from that of his predecessor, Dame Cressida Dick, who had said it was at each individual officer's discretion if they wanted to take a knee in support of Black Lives Matter.

We'll see if this claim actually means anything. I'm not hopeful. It's going to be a bigger clean up job than this one

Must be an election coming-the Home Secretary is getting tough on crime, illegal immigration and woke causes.
We all know nothing will change.

Cressida Penis was an obnoxious woke dyke, so ugly that quite possibly she could only find a blind partner. She should also have been charged with the murder of that Brazilian electrician. I'm offended that she rose to high rank, and now probably does her rug-munching supported by a gross taxpayer-funded police pension.

@Anon at 15.06,
As much as I dislike(d) Cressida Dick, and her policies as Commissioner of the Met, her "gross taxpayer-funded police pension" comes partly as a result of her paying 10.5 percent of her salary for how many years? I can't think of anyone who pays as much.
As a retired (County force) Police officer, I get fed up of constantly being told that the taxpayer is providing my pension (and we don't get free coal, either).
Must go and lie down, now, after providing an element of defending one of the worst Police Commissioners the Met have had, and that is saying something.

Why do I think this will mostly be used to attack officers wearing ... crosses, crucifixes and star-of-Davids (well that and either the Union or English Flag)?

Is my cynicism showing again?

Looks like the Police Pension is unfunded - despite the police paying in 10.5% of salary it still needs the taxpayer contributions to pay out to the recipients.

"Must be an election coming.."

Something's coming for the useless Tories, all right...

"She should also have been charged with the murder of that Brazilian electrician."

Agreed!

"... comes partly as a result of her paying 10.5 percent of her salary for how many years?"

I can't speak for anon, but the fact she stayed in post for that long when she was manifestly unfit for it is partly the issue, is it not?

"Why do I think this will mostly be used to attack officers wearing ... crosses, crucifixes and star-of-Davids (well that and either the Union or English Flag)?"

Let me see...could it be 'experience'..?

"Looks like the Police Pension is unfunded - despite the police paying in 10.5% of salary it still needs the taxpayer contributions to pay out to the recipients."

Of course!
