Kevin Murphy, of Norfolk Wildlife Rescue, has been trying to track down the Savannah cat since it was spotted three weeks ago near Bramerton, south of Norwich. The feline is native to sub-Saharan Africa and it had been on the loose since escaping from its home in May.

I have to admit this was a new one to me. At the risk of salacious speculation, the logistics of breeding are intriguing, not least because, as I understand it, servals and F1 hybrids require Dangerous Wild Animal licenses.
Is there a certain amount of trepidation on the part of breeding domestic females introduced to their prospective exotic mates? Or do the African cats represent an irresistible bad-boy attraction for our home-grown tabbies?
