"Surely we can do better than allow ourselves to stoop to such conduct..."
Nope, when I saw this story, I laughed like a drain.
I mean, if it had been a dodgy shoot, I might be asking questions. But a chap pulls a handgun on several cops with automatic weapons? Stupidity killed him, as much as the bullets...
Drain laughter has only a laundry bill for company, J. Sensible spectators shuffle away from gound zero whilst the physiological limits of sphincters undergo noisy testing by the protagonist.

Have you forgotten to take your medication again Malcolm ?
Your attentions are noted but rejected, mon capitaine. However I do wish you and Tintin all the best and hope you continue to enlarge the circle of your friends.

For probably the first time in my life, I find myself in complete agreement with a convicted felon ..
I would much sooner he died than be sent back to prison too ..
For starters, part my hard-earned pension will no longer be used to keep him in the lap of luxury ..
I wonder, might a few more of his fellow cons be persuaded to follow his example ?
Works for me every time ..
Nice to see the cops can get it right occasionally.
When a man pays the ultimate price for his crime, the likes of Gadget/200 Weeks are not slow to scoff.
Surely we can do better than allow ourselves to stoop to such conduct alongside the worst of UK police?
Good job he wasn't a horse - in Yorkshire. He would have far preferred prison.
Is it 'cos he wore a t-shirt wiv a target on it?

Ahhh .. but you fail to see the underlying beauty of this system ..
A) .. He won't be robbing anyone else .. ever
B) .. There's no Appeal process against Conviction or Sentence at Coroner's Court ..
C) .. For the hard-pressed Taxpayer, when we're all being warned of cuts & being told to "tighten our belts" its a win-win solution ..
Gloat ? ... As if ..
Fnar, fnar ..
