As part of their Databank promotion, where they gouge their existing customers like me to then make consessions for the 'data poor', they are sending out emails thanking you for being an (un)willing donor with a spinning selection of the people you've 'helped'...like this one.
You know, O2, if it's all the same to you, I would far rather not help more fake refugees to come here.

Is there a box for you to put in a reply? Alternately you could dump them when your contract expires and tell them why.
O2 do love to brag about how unlike certain other British mobile networks, they do not charge you for roaming in Europe post-Brexit.
Firstly, this merely confirms that roaming charges are just a made up scam and nothing to do with the politics between the EU and the UK.
Secondly, if they can be so generous to those of us who both use O2 and wish to wander across the Channel, surely they also have a bit of spare capacity to donate a few gigabytes at Christmas to the really needy?
Tesco Mobile (which piggybacks on O2) have quietly announced that roaming charges will start to apply from 2026.
I was in Andorra during the summer - my Tesco Sim had no roaming charges, my Vodafone-Italy SIM had eyewatering charges for received calls. Definitely a revenue stream (aka SCAM)
Trouble is, I like them. I'm just sick of the VirtueSignalling, but if I get asked for feedback I'll definitely mention this,
Spot on.
Thankfully I'm not planning any foreign trips (Scotland doesn't count, right?)
