”I shake through the wreckage for signs of life...”

As announced by Iain Dale yesterday afternoon, Draper’s much heralded ‘Rapid Rebuttal’ website finally entered the blogosphere.

Sadly for Draper, in much the same way, and to much the same effect, as Shuttle Columbia re-entered Earth’s atmosphere back in 2003...

The Devil and Obnoxio are your guides to the wonderful world of technical ‘FAIL!’ (registration, RSS feed, and others), Tory Teacher has some interesting background on the man of the moment, Guido points out that it should have launched a month ago(!), and Leg-Iron gleefully anticipates the fun to be had from the content.

Which we are assured they will be putting up. Any...day....now!

In short, it’s done the job of neatly summing up the busted flush that is New Labour under Gordon Brown – late, unpolished, unprofessional, unsure what it wants to be (though it desperately wants to be popular!) and broken.

In todays Daily /Sunday Mail Draper states he has 'declared (cyber) war' on the blogosphere. Having dipped in and out of the postings on Guido and Dale yesterday it could be quite funny. The bloke can't even spell. It all seems quite sad and amateurish, no hint of sophistication or political nouse.

Lol! I guess he's about to learn what Donald Rumsfeld meant when he said: "You don't go to war with the forces you wish you had, you go to war with the forces you have already.."

On this showing so far, I wonder how he fancies his side's chances...?

So far, Draper's efforts have been less than stunning. And if that is the standard of literacy we can expect, the "war" will be more of a feeding frenzy and not one he will appreciate...
