It Seems That, Once Again, Our Gene Pool Requires Some Chlorine..
...in fact, make that a few hundred gallons (warning - the image in the link is horrible):
The dog, a rottweiler believed to be called Kairn, was heard yelping and barking between 10.30pm and 11pm. A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said two boys aged between 14 and 15 “were seen to throw petrol over the dog and run away”.
Very very sad,I despair at the cruelty that humans are capable of.Im going to give my dog a big big hug.
And I hope they catch the filth that did this and kick the living shit out of em so that they are physically and mentally damaged for the rest of their worthless lives....Id like to get to work on em with my chainsaw c***s
There is certainly evidence that psychopathic criminals tend to evolve progressively, and one of the stages they go through is cruelty to animals.
This is one of the reasons why I would propose penalties for acts of cruelty should be more closely coupled to the degree of cruelty, and less to the status of their victim. This was a pitiless, depraved attack. The people who did it are extremely dangerous. They have no empathy with anyone else, and the inflicting of unbearable pain is merely an entertainment to them.
I despair when I read of such mindless cruelty. They ran away because they knew it was wrong and their would be punished. That poor creature did not deserve to suffer like that. So where is the wonderful CCTV pictures that will assure a conviction then?
Please, people, please - have you no heart?. These two poor boys, no doubt from a difficult background, clearly demonisd by the capitalist system, failed by their school and by an uncaring society poisoned by Thatcherite notions of 'right' and 'wrong' - what choice did they have but to do what they did?

I'd hold your coat while you did!

It seems the Yanks are far ahead of us in considering this sort of thing a danger signal and acting accordingly.
"So where is the wonderful CCTV pictures that will assure a conviction then?"
Good question!
"These two poor boys, no doubt from a difficult background, clearly demonisd by the capitalist system, failed by their school and by an uncaring society poisoned by Thatcherite notions of 'right' and 'wrong'..."
Sadly, there are people who probably DO think this!
"I'm guessing a dog stolen for fighting, resale or for the purposes of intimidation, and then disposed of. "
That's a pretty fair bet. Though the breed seems to be the wrong sort, as in 'not a pitbull'...

discovered it had been microchipped and traced him to an owner in Essex.

It won't be an isolated crime.
