Just Who Are The 'Vulnerable' Ones, Again..?

A controversial care home that made life a misery for its neighbours is to close after Essex County Council removed the young residents...
Hurrah!
...over fears for their safety.
Oh.

Did they mean the safety of the neighbours ? Well, no:
County council officers took the decision to pull young people out of the home following an incident on July 14 when two of its residents were attacked in the street.
Up until then, they'sd been quite blase about the activities of these little darlings:
Residents living near to the home for vulnerable young people at 23 Maurice Road, Canvey, have suffered noise, nuisance and disruption since it opened in May.

In June, a 17-year-old living at the home admitted assaulting a police officer who had been called out to the property, while the previous month another 17-year-old was charged with criminal damage after throwing tables and chairs around inside the home.
Sounds awfully familiar, doesn't it?

So now we know; go round thumping people and the police will give you what you want.

How nice to see that quaint turn of phrase: "made life a misery for its neighbours"

Nowadays most people write meaningless crap like "made life a misery for the community".

Ahhh .. but they're "victims" .. bless their little cotton ASBO's .. and if you're a "victim" as we all know you can say & do just as you please .. because society "owes" you ..

As you say Brian .. "go round thumping people and the police will give you what you want"..

Well, that school of thought seems to work for the Police ..

Is that where Winston Smith works?

"Vulnerable" is the favourite new word of the left. Visit the Guardian - if you must - and marvel at how every other piece seems to contain the word. Labour politicians love it.

Exactly!

"Is that where Winston Smith works?"

Doubt it's the actual place, but certainly one very much like it.

"...marvel at how every other piece seems to contain the word. Labour politicians love it."

Oh, indeed. And often applied to someone who's the absolute antithesis of it...
