Considering Leaving Money To Charity?

A farmer was left 'baffled' after his sheepdog was reported to the RSPCA for rounding up his own flock. Tom Trueman, 42, received a complaint from the animal welfare charity after reports that his border collie had been seen 'worrying' sheep. He was sent two pamphlets alongside the complaint titled 'dog behaviour' and 'how to look after your dog'.

A waste of time and little old ladies' bequests to this wretched 'charity'... 

Purplexed (sic), Mr Trueman looked further into the report and was stunned to discover that it was lodged against his own sheepdog Tilly, who had been helping him round up runaway sheep on a nearby road. 

The eighth-generation farmer, from Buckfastleigh, Devon, said: 'The whole thing is laughable really! 'Usually if you see a sheep, a sheepdog and farmer you put two and two together.

And who did they send?  

He said: 'The inspector was a farmer's daughter from Devon, so she understood the situation and we both had a good laugh - she even said to tear up the letter and put it in the bin.

She shouldn't have wasted her time visiting him in the first place!  

And What Is The RSPCA Doing?

No, don't tell me, I already know - nothing. 

A young terrier cross has found itself at Many Tears Animal Rescue in Llanelli in heartbreaking circumstances. 14-month-old Bella grew up as a normal puppy in a happy home but has now been left without sight after being attacked on two occasions. "Sweet" Bella was sadly attacked by one of the resident dogs she was living with which caused her eye to rupture and meant it had to be removed. Tragically, as she was healing from her surgery, the dog, who was much larger than her, attacked her once again and ruptured her only remaining eye.

A family allows their dog to savage their other dog not once, but twice, and from the so-called animal protection charity there's not a peep. And it's Wales again - why are dangerous dogs so popular there?

Bella is also in the sad situation of looking for a new home, after her owners decide to rehome her for own safety, and her unfamiliar surroundings are making everything a lot more difficult for her. Many Tears have described Bella as "very noise-sensitive" and heartbreakingly cries when she is left alone.

What I'd like to see done to those owners would probably get me banned from Blogger...

The RSPCA - Harming Animals In The Future!

Police bust a dogfighting ring in leafy, upmarket Chigwell, and the RSPCA ensure....that the illegal pitbulls are well cared for? Seriously?!

RSPCA Behaviour and Welfare Specialist Claire said: 'A lot of these dogs were nervous and shut down when they arrived in our care and many had extensive scarring on their muzzles, heads, chests and front legs; something we see in dogs who have been involved in organised fighting.

'The dogs were being kept in poor conditions, with little interaction with the outside world, except for when they were taken to fight another dog in bloody bouts that often ended in serious and fatal injuries.

'They had never experienced what it's like to curl up on a sofa and feel safe, or the fun of running through grassy fields or chasing after a football.

'But now they're getting the love and care that they deserve and have really blossomed and come out of their shells.'

So, the RSPCA is happy to risk the future safety of other pets and children everywhere? Apparently so. And yes, they'll have no trouble finding someone to take on this canine time bomb. 

One of the dogs, eight-year-old bull breed Jane - who was removed from one of the pens in the garage at the Leadleys' home - has been settling into a loving foster home.

Her fosterer Debbie, who now plans to adopt her, said: 'Jane is doing brilliantly and has settled in so well. Her behaviour is fantastic and she loves to go out for walks, and have a good sniff. She just wants to enjoy life and is really chilled.

'She's really chilled out and enjoys snoozing in the sun until she gets too hot, and then she moves into the shade.

'She can be fussy about eating so I've been roasting her chicken and cooking her steak, and she's slowly building up a good appetite. She's certainly very spoiled!'

I hope that thought flashes through your mind when the inevitable happens. 

What About The Welfare Of The Public?

'Sadly, six dogs had to be put to sleep. The remaining 16 dogs remain in police kennels while our investigation continues.

They are now illegal animals, so all 22 should have had a one-way trip to the vet.  

Chief Inspector Emma Cheney said 'We are stronger working with our communities and urge anyone who witnesses suspicious behaviour or illegal breeding or housing of banned breeds to get in touch, online, via live chat or by calling 101.

'If you suspect someone of animal neglect or cruelty, please report to the RSPCA.'

Who won't do anything because they don't support the ban.

The owners of an American bulldog who attacked a 17-year-old girl after going berserk at children in a park have been accused of making another dog behave aggressively by chaining it up in the garden for months.

Their dog - weighing eight stone and called George - had to be put down after terrifying locals in the picturesque village of in Thorpe Willoughby, near Selby, North Yorkshire, in May. The teenage girl was bitten in the arms by George, while trying to restrain him from attacking children at a kids' playground.

I don't subscribe to the view 'it's the owners, not the dog' but in most of these cases, it's clear they don't help... 

And nor do rehoming charities:

She lost control of the pet while taking him for a stroll just a day after George was rehomed by the previous owners.

Why would anyone expect a 17 year old girl to be able to restrain a thing that has often overpowered grown men? 

Villagers have been left heartbroken by the dog 'crying through the night' after allegedly being kept chained up in its owner's garden for the last five months. They say they have bombarded the authorities, including the RSPCA, with complaints about the alleged cruelty but nothing has been done.

'It really surprises me with the amount of people complaining about it that the RSPCA is not doing anything.'

It won't surprise anyone familiar with the way the RSPCA operates. 

Wow, Apps Are Getting Amazingly Sophisticated..!

A woman who was cleared of cruelty to one of her horses has said that the damage caused by a “trial by social media” is “irreversible” and that she received hand-delivered death threats because of the incident.

Twitter (I refuse to call it 'X') can now arrange for your menacing post to be hand-delivered...! Truly, we live in an age of wonders!

You know, if I'd avoided a jail term for kicking and punching one of my pets in a fit of temper, because a jury had returned one of those baffling verdicts that they can sometimes be prone to, I'd want to hide away and shun the limelight until everyone forgot. 

But of course, I'd never ever do what this woman did in the first place...

She said: “It is profoundly troubling that, in this digital age, misinformation can spread like wildfire, leading to premature judgments and jeopardising the lives and careers of innocent individuals.

“A snippet of video was taken out of context, and manipulated to paint a picture of me that is entirely at odds with who I am.”

No, it showed what it showed, and your real issue isn't that it showed that. It's that it showed quite the opposite. 

The jury didn't buy the offence, but that video - and the resulting impression people were given of you - is never, ever going away.  

I've Always Wondered What It Takes To Get The RSPCA To Act....

...and now I know:

Jodie Marsh has revealed her £1 million farm was swarmed by RSPCA investigators on Wednesday.

The animal group arrived at the property as they were investigating claims she took her meerkat Mabel to the pub.

And, what? Forced Guinness down the poor beast's throat? 

Taking to Instagram, she filmed the incident as it unfolded- and cleared up the rumours about her animal, revealing that she could not leave her alone as she would cry if she did and needed regular feeding because she was rearing her.

And this took two hours and a team of investigators?Well, no. That was because, thwarted in their purpose (not to help animals in distress, to secure a celebrity scalp, of course!) they went digging around for other things they could boast about in their publicity mailshots.

With the same results.

Jodie revealed that during the two-hour investigation, officers also looked into claims that an emu had a tube stuck in its neck. The glamour model shared that the tube was saving the animal's life as it was for feeding them...

It's not really surprising that they don't understand about 'saving animal's lives', since it's a pretty much alien concept to them. 

Also during the farm inspection, Jodie was asked about keeping a wild muntjac deer and she told officers she was looking after it because it had fallen into a swimming pool nearby.

I can see why that would have baffled them, too...

She had been fostering the American bulldog in the hope of fully adopting it.

Because who doesn't want to foster an animal that the police have to taser and batter with truncheons to make it let go of your oh-so-tasty arm? 

She said: 'The pain was excruciating.

'I knew I was in a bad way but nothing prepared me for the news my arm would have to be amputated.'

The RSPCA has denied it was liable for the attack, and Joanna's claim will be heard at the High Court in London.

Wait, how is this the RSPCA's fault? I mean, I hold no brief for them at all, but unless there was a known risk then th... 

Ms Harris, from Crowborough, East Sussex, claims that the RSPCA failed to let her know that the dog, which was later put down, had attacked two women just eight months before it set upon her, The Sun reported.

Oops! 

This will be an important case. If the RSPCA loses, it might make other rescues think twice about handing out these things to unsuspecting idiots.

For Fox Sake...

...never give the bloated, politically-correct, incompetent RSPCA any money. Ever!

If their begging letters come through the post, put them straight in the bin. 

If their adverts come on the TV, now's the time to compose tomorrow's shopping list. 

If one of their paid shills approaches you in the street, do what I did once in Southend high street, and tell them in depth and exactly why you won't be giving them any money.

And if granny's thinking about leaving them some money in her will, suggest she donates to ISIS instead. If you're going to hand money over to bloodthirsty nihilistic killers, might as well go with people who don't pretend to be anything else...

Are You Kidding Me..?

A woman has been sentenced after a court heard she failed to stop her ex-partner trying to drown a dog, but charges against him were dropped.

Errr, why? 

The court was told Charlene Latham pleaded with her ex-partner Leigh Johnson not to drown Bella, but he refused and she did not get help. The RSPCA said it did not have enough evidence to prosecute Mr Johnson.

But it did have enough to prosecute her? Well, no, she admitted it, and they clearly didn't fancy spending any of the donations that little old ladies send them in to prosecute monsters like these when they could spend them on a swanky headquarters instead.

Like the CPS and the police farces, they simply go for low-hanging fruit...  

Luc Chignell, defending Latham, said: "The person who committed this is not here and that is not her fault."

Latham has since suffered "relentless abuse" on social media, which led to police advising her to leave her home, the court heard.

Those are consequences, and they are a little harsh, it's true, but why aren't we told that the same is true of the perpetrator? 

Latham was given a 12-month community order and told to pay an £80 fine, £32 victim surcharge, and £200 in costs. She was also banned from keeping dogs for three years.

Because after three years she'll be fine and dandy?

Now remove the Royal Warrant as well.

The RSPCA is set to hand over its role in bringing animal cruelty cases to court so it can focus on 'frontline work' after criticism over its private prosecutions.

The animal welfare charity revealed today it has paved the way for the Crown Prosecution Service to take over the role.

But it added this would only continue as long as 'animals still get the justice they deserve'.

The CPS is an utter basket case, but I suspect it'll still do far, far better than you've managed throughout your reign of terror (and error).

The charity also unveiled its new strategy up to 2030, with one of its aims being to push a more vegan agenda on the public.

Judging from the amount of vegan stuff I see on the remainder counter, you're wasting your time. 

But it's nice to see you openly admitting that the money little old ladies leave you in their wills to save animals is going on overtly-political causes. Hopefully, more of them will decide to leave it to small independent charities instead.

A spokesperson for RSPCA, said: "This is a really sad incident and must have been very upsetting for people to see.

"Our local officer has visited to investigate and sadly it appears the pony wasn't in good bodily condition, so we're concerned about how and why they died. Sadly, it is not uncommon for the RSPCA to receive reports of dead, dying or very unwell horses dumped like rubbish.

"The country has been experiencing a 'horse crisis' for several years, with fears that the worst may still be yet to come in the event of another financial recession.

"Unfortunately the pony wasn't microchipped so we encourage anyone with any information to come forward and contact us on our inspector's appeal line number, on 0300 123 8018."

Yes, the RSPCA shamelessly uses this as an opportunity to beg for funding, leading you to believe that this poor animal belonged to Arabella High-Falutin, and was cruelly dumped so daddy could afford to buy another yacht.

Is anyone fooled? I'm not.

Crews were called after the animal was found trapped in an old water tank on Tuesday.

After pulling him out of the cold water firefighters bypassed advice to have the animal put down and instead performed CPR and used animal oxygen masks to bring him back to life.

Good for them! Useful practice.

Lorraine March from Kent Wildlife Rescue Service was at the scene, in Chatham, Kent.

"The work the firefighters did was amazing, they spent 40 minutes working on it.

"They called the RSPCA who said they were available but suggested the crew took it to the nearest vet to have it put down."

Should have told them you had a camera crew in tow, they'd have been out so fast it'd make your head spin.

I Pity The Goldfish...

Former magistrate Melvyn Hall, 71, said the dog had been ‘getting on his nerves’ because she kept ‘following him around’, the RSPCA said.

So of course, he hit his 'beloved pet' over the head with a hammer, strangled it, then dumped it in the nearby river. As you do.

Appearing at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, the former NHS worker from Ashfield Mews in Wallsend was handed an 18-week prison sentence, suspended for a year, after admitting two counts of causing unnecessary suffering under the Animal Welfare Act.

Former magistrate AND former NHS worker, eh?

It also said he was given a lifetime disqualification on owning all animals other than goldfish, and told to pay £1,000 in court costs.

Why the bizarre exemption for fish?

A spokesman from Nottinghamshire Police said: 'Nottinghamshire Police has been made aware of an unauthorised encampment at a school playing field on Bingham Road in Radcliffe upon Trent.

'The Rushcliffe Neighbourhood Policing Team has been in the area to engage with and respond to any concerns from both the local and travelling communities.'

Yes, they are there to be impartial, and listen to the concerns of the people who are breaking the law.

One person, who did not wish to be named, told Nottinghamshire Live: 'We are at our wits' end and have been sickened by the behaviour.

'The horse was dragged by a rope around the neck and was then kicked in the head. It is heartbreaking.

'We have called the RSPCA and they have opened a case and are taking it seriously but they won't come down without the police.

'We have also seen them swing a dog around by the neck too.'

Funnily enough, when it's a Kent housing estate, the police spring into action and seize the animal immediately.

After watching CCTV footage of the incident caught on camera at a nearby house, Mr Gregory, said: "We are devastated and heartbroken, and my mum is traumatised by what happened.

"I'm surprised she never had a heart attack. It must have been so frightening and shocking to see.

"I could see the dog going berserk before my mum and Jasper came into shot - it was jumping around as it was trying to break free from the owner.

"My mum kept to the inside of the pavement but as the dog tried to bite Jasper, he started barking at the other dog.

"At this point, you could see them both pulling on their leads but the other owner was completely overpowered by her dog, who eventually detached itself from its collar.

"He sunk his teeth into Jasper and was just shaking him around like a ragdoll. It was really difficult to watch.

"My mum was trying to pull him back, but then Jasper detached from his collar too. He bolted down the road and the other dog went after him.

"The dog is not safe to be out without a muzzle, it could attack a child next."

Or a child trying to defend it's own pet.

But if you're wondering why the police aren't involved, you're not alone.

The RSPCA don't miss a trick, though:

The RSPCA Cymru said it is "vital" owners do all they can to ensure their dogs are under "proper control" at all times.

A spokesman, said: "Our thoughts are with the injured dog and their owners at this time; and we of course wish the dog a speedy and full recovery from the reported injuries.

"Sadly, dog-on-dog attacks can prove fatal and it is vital owners do all they can to meet their responsibilities, and ensure their dogs are under proper control at all times.

"It is vital owners understand the circumstances likely to lead to their dog being aggressive and also the signs of potential aggressive behaviour in their dogs, and how to respond.

"Keeping dogs on a lead in appropriate places can also reduce the risk of incidents associated with aggressive behaviours.

"We urge anyone concerned that their dog may be aggressive to contact a properly qualified professional behaviourist, with the appropriate knowledge, skills and experience, for help and advice."

And I'm sure the RSPCA would be happy to recommend one. Probably one who works for them!

Taking The Credit...

RSPCA animal collection officer Joe White said: “These poor chinchillas are not in a good way, but thankfully it seems they were found just in time and are now getting the treatment they need.

"It’s terrible to think somebody deliberately dumped these 11 little animals, leaving them to fend for themselves. They were really lucky to be found.

"Anything could have happened to them, especially the babies, whoever dumped them was hardly giving them a chance. They were really lucky to be found and we’re so grateful to the people who kept them safe and called us for help."

Oh, hurrah for the RSPCA, who rushed to the scene and...

Hang on.

Karen rang the RSPCA who were unable to help immediately so she took them to the South Essex Wildlife Hospital, in Orsett, for treatment.

She added: “They made sure they got health checks from the vets and then they will be putting them up for adoption to find them a new home.”

If You Support The RSPCA, This Is Where Your Money Goes...

John Knibbs is wanted by police for leading a gang responsible for orchestrating dog fights.

Knibbs failed to attend sentencing at Lincoln Magistrates Court on Monday morning after being found guilty of animal cruelty.

The fugitive, formerly of Sleaford, was seen allowing dogs to fight each other in a video found by detectives.

He should be fed to his monstrous beasts when - if! - they catch him.

Sorry, that should be 'catch him again'...

This is the third time Knibbs has been prosecuted for dog fighting even though he was banned from keeping animal for the rest of his life in 2009.

But then, as I've pointed out before, if no-one is monitoring these scum, what's the point of a ban at all?

Hazel Stevens, RSPCA, said during the trial: "At the time of the raid Steele claimed to own all of the dogs.

"We are looking after the dogs in kennels for £15,700 a year. Some are so dangerous they need to be darted before the staff can go inside."

Why are you looking after them? They should all be shot, and not with tranquilisers. They are a drain on your precious resources, aren't they?

Of Course They Can’t Help, You Have To Arrange The Camera Crew First..

The landlord was made aware by neighbours that the tenant of the property had not been seen in a while.

After the RSPCA said there was nothing it could do, police attended and heard the dog barking weakly. Officers then went into the flat and found a Jack Russell, which hadn't been cared for in a while.

And at that point the RSPCA woke up and decided to do their duty?

She is now in a kennel and will be rehomed as soon as she has been given treatment and has found new owners who love her. The police officer told News Shopper:

"She is obviously a very lovely tempered dog and it really tugs at the heartstrings. "We had to go out to the pet shop because she was so hungry."

Clearly not. What's the point of them, then?
