‘Dismay’ – It’s Selective In Coroner’s Courts

A motorcyclist crashed and died while being pursued by police patrol officers who should not have been chasing him, an inquest has heard.

Gloucestershire coroner Alan Crickmore said he was 'dismayed' that the two officers had committed two breaches of the pursuit protocol and did not know what the rules were.
Hmm, ‘dismayed’ at that, but not apparently dismayed that the motorcyclist had no front brakes, was drunk, was speeding, failed to halt when the police asked (twice), and therefore wrapped himself round a tree…

But all the 'Mail' cares about is that two police officers didn't have the 'tick in the box' they needed to put the blue flashers on...
