A motorcyclist crashed and died while being pursued by police patrol officers who should not have been chasing him, an inquest has heard.Hmm, ‘dismayed’ at that, but not apparently dismayed that the motorcyclist had no front brakes, was drunk, was speeding, failed to halt when the police asked (twice), and therefore wrapped himself round a tree…
Gloucestershire coroner Alan Crickmore said he was 'dismayed' that the two officers had committed two breaches of the pursuit protocol and did not know what the rules were.
