...of a double pepperoni with cheese:
An investigation has been launched into how a police car hit and killed a mother - amid claims that it was fetching a takeaway with its siren and blue lights on.
The 61-year-old is reported to have been walking with her husband and son when she was struck by the marked police car.
I wonder what the English version of the
ten-code is for
that?
A witness said she heard a siren before the sound of impact, and then saw the officer leaning over the prone woman.
'He looked like he was in shock and didn't know what to do,' said Ruth Oswald, 53.
'Her husband was mad. I think he smashed the window on the police car and he was bashing his head against the fence.'
Oh, well. At least they didn't
taser him...

I'm naturally pro-police but I'm coming to distrust them more and more, as are many people.
It's maybe unfair, as I know that there are a lot of responsible police officers out there, but those people need to understand that turning a blind eye to this kind of behaviour among their colleagues (and to little Hitlers trying to stop members of the public filming in er...public places) ends up reflecting as badly on them as on the 'bad coppers'.
Reading a few of the police blogs, you do get the sense that they know this.
But not much hope that it's getting better, and not worse...
