Not A Good Idea, People...

The Inimitable 'Daily Mash', on the new phenomenon of 'swine flu parties':
The British Medical Association said that any parent who was tempted to hold a swine flu party should remember the last birthday party and then smack themselves in the face with a pot for being so stupid.
Sadly, the reality isn't a joke. Parents are actually doing this...
Across the UK parents have been throwing parties hoping their children catch the virus before it mutates, as GPs said they may as well pack up and go home as everyone seems happy to be treated by the fucking Daily Express.
Heh!

The way that middle class parents bow to hysteria stoked by scientific junk published in newspapers never fails to amuse.

Didn't we used to hold Rubella parties for litle girls?

But I guess that was before Rubella became a big scary thing that we all have to be afraid of, so that we hold Nanny's hand more tightly.

They hold "Imbecile partys". In Britain it is called Parliament.

SEEMS to work.

Well...in that they all get infected, that is.

Stop blogging you dull inane self indulgent cunt. I got into this by accident and for amusement read some of your stuff. In what world do you think your mindless irrelevant rubbish is of any interest whatsoever. You are utterly talentless, just give up. I will howver check back to see if you post one of your inarticulate responses. Incredible that some people are so stupid as to not realise what they cannot do

Love the way you touched the nerve of the savant above.

Keep up the good work. I check here at least 3 times a week.

We did, but then modern medecine rather took away the point of this.

"Well...in that they all get infected, that is."

Lol! Very true...

"I got into this by accident..."

By accident? What happened? Did you trip and fall onto an open browser window?

"Incredible that some people are so stupid as to not realise what they cannot do"

Like troll successfully?

We also used to have mumps parties and chicken pox parties. Well not strictly parties, You were told:

Mum: "you're going to play at Adrian's today"
Me: "Why?"
Mum: "His mother just called, he's got the mumps"

Both were unpleasant at the time, but looking back, I'm glad I had them young.
Particularly when a friend of mine got mumps at 24, he had to carry his orchestras around in a towel for a week.
