Damning With Faint Praise…

When a recent Tesco survey highlighting that holidays in the UK were, on the whole, more expensive than holidays abroad got up the nose of Brighton and Hove City Council leader Mary Mears, she really didn’t pick her words well when leaping to Brighton’s defence:
“…this research presumes that visitors will stay in high-end hotels yet we have a wonderful range of accommodation in Brighton and Hove to suit every budget.”
Translation: ‘Come to Brighton and Hove! We have lots of cheap s***holes for your delectation!’

...and in further research they also discovered that the sun will rise in the east tomorrow morning.

(I wonder why these idiots thought so many people take holidays abroad? Masochism maybe?)

Possibly the worst *possible* phraseology to use when describing the gay capital of England there Julia...

Brighton is quite possibly the worse place in Britain, with the possible exceptions of Stoke and Leeds.

No, sorry. Stoke takes it by a mile.

Why would anybody want to go to Brighon if they were no a pooftah?
