It was then that a PCSO came over and asked him what he was doing.Sadly for the uniformed dimwit, not only was Mr Salgado-Reyes not about to take any crap from a plastic policewoman, but neither was his colleague:
He told the PCSO that it was nothing to do with her and he was fully entitled to be taking pictures.
He claims the PCSO then told him he could be stopped from taking the photos under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.
But, unknown to the over-zealous PCSO the colleague he was standing with was a solicitor and they just happened to be stood directly outside their office.Upon which, she apparently became 'very friendly'. How strange...
She then asked them if they lived in the area or worked here.
Mr Salgado-Reyes said: “I told her we did indeed work in Croydon and pointed to the sign above our heads, which read Mansouri and son solicitors.
And Mr Salgado-Reyes has some words of advice for anyone buttonholed by these useless semi-officials:
“For too long the local councils have had far too much power and it is time to take it back.Quite...
“Everyone should have to adhere to the same rules.”

So much for the Home Office telling all the Chief Constables to make sure their plods didnt do this sort of thing any more.
That's worked well.
They pointed to their office too soon. They should have waited till the PCSO (a civilian) called for backup and then when backup arrived pointed out their sign. That would have made the PCSO a laughing stock back at the nick and then wouldn't do the same thing ever again. As it is the PCSO will still do it, probably just making sure that he person is not in a business suit.
So, what action was taken against the (presumably) illegally parked council enforcement van?

Some people just never get the memo. In fact, they make sure they don't get it...
