Bob Just Can’t Let It Go….

can he?
…the Essex MP said Mr Richardson’s comments had to be considered in the light of his Labour Party connections – including a 16-year stint as a Labour councillor in Ealing, West London.
Heh!
He said he had replied directly to Mr Richardson, addressing him as “Comrade Vicar”, and claiming he should have mentioned his Labour links in the original letter.
Ouch!
Mr Richardson acknowleged his party affiliation, but said: “This statement has nothing to do with my personal political views.

“This extreme term of abuse is totally inappropriate for an MP and demonstrates a failure of political analysis. The causes of the riots were complex and deserving of deeper study than that word implies.
I wonder if those burned out of their homes agree with that outlook?

It seems the Church isn’t too keen on having its motives questioned, or being told they should put their money where their mouth is:
Bishops who united to condemn the eviction have dodged questions of church land being made temporarily available to travellers.
Oh dear! It seems charity doesn’t begin at home after all, eh?
… spokesman for both the bishops said: “This is not a local matter but a national issue. No local diocese or any other local organisation can deliver a viable national solution.”
The Church is ‘national’ though, isn’t it? Are they saying they can’t co-ordinate such a thing countrywide?
Travellers feel it is not the church’s responsibility.”
They are happy to let them take the responsibility of supporting them though, aren’t they?
