On The Second Day Of Brexit, The Metro 'Letters' Page Gave To Me…

...stroppy democracy deniers.

Also baffled angry voters.

Yet another Metro staffer out to earn his crust and a few brownie points?

They would be more accurate if they pointed out that 52% of those who could be bothered to vote voted out. the rest of them - and those who couldn't be arsed - just need to suck it up.

Why stroppy? The most important change to life in this country since god knows when and almost half the country has to accept it. Wasn't Farage the one saying prevote that if we don't go ,we will fight for another vote.
I have never heard so much crowing from people who do not have any idea what the vote will mean to people in this country, not them ,not the formers of opinion, but people.

Bunny,

I wonder how many of these cretins will leave the country when the time comes? I am hoping for a partition of India type exodus personally.

"Why stroppy?"

Because their side lost and they don't seem to be able to get it through their heads that this means that they then have to accept the majority decision. This isn't difficult, it was a simple binary choice, the leave side got more votes than the remain side, that means the leave side won.

Like others had to accept being in the EU for the last couple of decades. Democracy. Live with it.

That's what they'd be saying to Brexiteers if they'd won!

"The most important change to life in this country since god knows when..."

Clearly, not enough people thought so, or the percentage of voters would be higher.

"I have never heard so much crowing from people who do not have any idea what the vote will mean to people in this country..."

You've never read the progressive press when they win a vote, then?

"I wonder how many of these cretins will leave the country when the time comes?"

Far, far too few.
