Lines That Make You Say 'Huh?!?'

In the 'Mail', this story of the treatment meted out to a lost dog by some of our best educated generation evah is (or should be) no surprise.

But this line gave me pause:
And mum-of-four Bev, a support worker for dwarf actors, reckons the youngsters may have carried out the beating because they didn't realise what Mugly was.
You just know the journalist who did that interview is going to be dining out on that for a while...

I see your point, Julia. What is not apparent from text alone is the close family resemblance and the love of a Mother for a much abused son.

I hope we get a happy follow up when he has taken his A levels.

We also had this charming bitch in Manchester.

As someone who usually prefers the company of animals over humans, it really does bring out the Malthusian in me...

What does she do? does she follow them around getting things off high shelves or lifting them up so they can see into the freezers in Iceland.

Or is it more like "No, darling you're not wrong, you would have been perfect for 'Mr Darcy', it's discrimination that's what it is"

Obsidian,

Bloody hell, don't send the woman to jail, get her signed up as a sharpshooter in Helmand province. She shot a cat from her bedroom window whilst three sheets to the wind...Brilliant.

I'm no bad shot myself, but don't think I could hit a cow's arse with abanjo after a couple of pints.

Beats me!

"Bloody hell, don't send the woman to jail, get her signed up as a sharpshooter in Helmand province. "

I saw her photo in the 'Metro', and believe me, she has a face just made for a burkha!

Sickens me that the jusge is only 'considering' a prison sentence and a lifetime ban on keeping animals...
