A section of Hove beach has been taped off over fears for the health of a homeless man.
Eh…?
Police were called to the grassy area near the beach opposite Kings House in Hove at about 7am this morning, following reports of a man "not moving".
A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: "We had a medical concern with a street sleeper.
"We were called at about 7am to reports of a man not moving.
"He is in his 20s and was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital.
"It is not thought to be suspicious. He did not have any obvious injuries and did not appear to have been attacked."
Then why tape off the beach?

Another story in the same vein.
This short passage also jumped out from an article about an horrendous attack:
To make things worse, Katie had to wait more than an hour in agony before ambulance crews were given the all-clear to treat her, because they didn’t know what the substance was and whether there was a risk of her attacker being nearby.
"Another story in the same vein."
Yes, I saw that. A lot of comments about how quick the police and others are now to bring everything to a halt of 'health and safety' grounds.
