”There’s an app for that…”

Yes, even for ensuring your kiddiwink doesn’t encounter any paedophiles on his Trick or Treat outing:
The Offender Locator application uses a GPS system built into Apple iPhones to pinpoint the user's location, and then provides a map of sex offenders in the area. It also brings up a photograph of the offender, as well as their address, date of birth and convictions.

The software has been downloaded more than a million times since becoming available in June, the Times reports.
Only in America….

Only problem is that its database is out of date which can and will cause problems.

Wouldn't work here. The sex offenders human rights would be breached if details of there whereabouts were known...

It teaches the children about reward versus risk, on the one hand the paedophiles may try to bugger them senseless, but on the other hand they will probably be offering more lavish treats.
