A horsewoman* who claimed her boyfriend fed her a Pringles sandwich laced with diazepam to make her drowsy before raping her is facing jail.It took them that long?
Kate Woodhead’s fiction extended to salacious details about him being ‘turned on’ as he pulled off her jodhpurs, a court heard.
But after a three-week trial, a jury decided that her story was a pack of lies.
Remanding her on bail until sentencing next month, Judge Neil Stewart said a custodial sentence was ‘almost inevitable’.Only 'almost'..?
* Looking at the picture accompanying this story, I wasn't sure (until they got to the 'jodhpurs' bit) if they were referring to her hobby or her appearance...

The poor bloke was probably trying to drug himself with diazepam to enable himself to go through with the act of congress.
Heh. Fake rape? Must be Wednesday. I notice The Mainly Fail lived down to my nickname for them as far as picture captioning goes:
"Falsely accused: Paul Joseph is alleged to have pounced on his former lover after offering her a Pringles sandwich laced with diazepam"
No, he isn't. Being as how the story is about, as the caption says, him being falsely accused he isn't alleged to have done anything of the kind. It was alleged, but she way lying. Got that, Fail?
Other than the poor bloke's life being ruined by this woman's lying the worse side effect of these sort of stories is that genuine rape claims are less likely to be believed.
Of course Guardian gender warriors like Bindel and Bidisha would have had this bloke locked up before you can say "Rohypnol" and that his behaviour proves that all men are potential rapists.
Pringle sandwich? Sounds disgusting. I think that women who shout "rape" should be assured that it means prison, no matter what.
They really are not helping "actual victims" of the crime. Who is going to believe the genuine ones when we have these idiots pretending?

Ooooooh, it sounds so exciting.

... which is what I think I need.
Rape is an extremely serious offence .. and rightly so ..
Allegations of Rape deserve to be fully & rigorously investigated .. and rightly so ..
False allegations of Rape deserve to be treated just as seriously .. and rightly so ..
All that said .. this munter must have an extremely vivid imagination to believe that any man, in possession of his eyesight might even remotely consider raping it ..
"Take her down .. Next"!!!
Talking of false rape allegations, Al Jahom covered this quite a bit. Anyone know/prepared to tell why the blog's gone private?
When it comes to imagination, Cap'n, she wasn't the only one.
"Their relationship ended after a furious row when Mr Joseph found a large number of condoms in a drawer and became convinced Woodhead was selling herself for sex."
"I notice The Mainly Fail lived down to my nickname for them as far as picture captioning goes..."
Oh, lord! I think they must give that task to the office teaboy...
"...the worse side effect of these sort of stories is that genuine rape claims are less likely to be believed."
Precisely! As Sue says, it should be an automatic prison sentence.
"Ooooooh, it sounds so exciting."
She'd probably read a heck of a lot of Jilly Cooper...

He mentioned it on Twitter. He's doing some redesigning. It'll be open again soon.

Ha! Priceless! :)
WoaR
His imagination though did not extend to falsely accusing her of a serious offence to the police.
Actually I couldn't care less that Aljahom has gone private. More disturbing is the drones that will endlessly repeat his mantra. Most women do not cry rape. His obsessive commentary is disturbing. Yours is a joke.
Anon you are right most women do not cry rape. But then what is worth finding out is how many women are do are doing it falsely. I genuinely believe there are less rapists than women who either make up rape stories completely or report consensual sex as rape for all sorts of reasons. Guilt, regret, change of mind, revenge.....the list goes on. I'm not saying that lying is a specifically female thing but it must be more common in both men and women than the amount of men that could, would and have raped a woman. I also think that the vast amount of unreported rapes we are led to believe have occurred are just in fact women who wish they had said or done something to communicate that they did not consent to sex but didn't.
The most difficult cases must be where the woman has been chemically prevented from removing consent. Why would anyone take rohipnol voluntarily unless there was a medical reason? Booze on the other hand is usually self administered in which case as the insurance companies have decided it is your duty to take reasonable care of yourself, if you don't then you should be held responsible for the consequences. Again, I don't think there are as many men who pursue having sex with an unconscious woman as we are led to believe. I do believe and see plenty of women quite prepared to voluntarily get themselves in a state however the most common reaction to people like this is to avoid or help, not sexually assault them.
think about it, out of those men who are naturally disturbed enough to want to rape or are conditioned into believing it is OK, if actually faced with an opportunity some if not most wouldn't go through with it. Most men are naturally appalled by the thought of it and even if they find a dominating sexual encounter attractive seek willing partners. I'm absolutely sure that the age old saying of getting a woman drunk to have sex with her is most often followed when pursued with an awkward fumble and then a non encounter rather than rape.

Thank you :)
