Warning Signs Actually Acted Upon!

In the run up to his licences being revoked he had applied for a 6mm semi automatic pistol- to “humanely dispatch” injured sheep or lambs despite not having any.
Whoops!
Simon Vann, firearms inquiry officer with Lancashire Police Constabulary also said a gun shop boss had phoned him saying he was “strange” and that staff were “a little concerned about Mr Khashaba’s attitude and his lack of knowledge.”
Maybe they are being too careful?
He told the court that he had a case against the General Medical Council alleging racial discrimination by two colleagues dismissed.
And maybe not...

The 'Lancashire Telegraph' has more:
Ahmed Khashaba, who said he was a hip and knee specialist and also a bouncer...
*boggle*

And the 'Burnley Express' has even more worrying copy:
The barrister said other worries came to light when Mr Khashaba applied to go on two explosives courses as he wanted to build a house with stone from a quarry on his land. Mr Sleightholme said there were concerns by those running the courses about the addresses he was giving and why he wanted to go on such a course.
Curiouser and curiouser...

Not impressed to hear him cocking about firing a shotty from the hip, though I once had an instructor do exactly that just to prove a decent shot can still hit targets that way. Mind you, that was on a range so a different kettle of fish (also mind you, it took him three attempts to hit one :-) ). Maybe this is actually working out the way it ought to for a change.

Handguns have been banned for years.

Heh! It is indeed a very strange statement...

"Maybe this is actually working out the way it ought to for a change."

I'd hope the BMA is also looking at him with renewed vigour too.

"Handguns have been banned for years."

Maybe that's what gave him away? He certainly does excellent 'mad, stary eyes' in all the pictures accompanying the story, though.
